Supported Applications

The Omega HGJMQIN series comprises Low Noise Thermocouple Probes with High Temperature Miniature Connectors. These probes maintain an electrical connection from the sheath of the probe, through the connectors, to instrumentation, providing high accuracy measurements and protection against electrical noise. The female connector includes a write-on area for easy identification.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets or exceeds special limits of error (SLE) and EN 60584-2: Tolerance Class 1. Operating temperature ratings are specified as 260°C (500°F) Continuous, 315°C (600°F) Intermittent.

Configuration Options

The HGJMQIN series is configurable across multiple thermocouple alloys, sheath materials, diameters, lengths, and junction types. The ground strap maintains the electrical connection of the ground wire and strengthens the mechanical connection between connectors.

• Thermocouple Alloys: IRON-CONSTANTAN (Type J), CHROMEGA™-ALOMEGA™ (Type K), CHROMEGA™-CONSTANTAN (Type E), COPPER-CONSTANTAN (Type T).
• Sheath Materials: Standard 304 SS Sheath. Inconel sheath is available by changing 'SS' in the model number to 'IN'. 321 SS Sheath is available by changing 'SS' to '321SS'. No additional charge applies for these material changes.
• Sheath Diameters: 1.0 mm (0.040 in), 1.5 mm (0.062 in), 3.0 mm (0.125 in).
• Junction Types: Specify 'E' (Exposed), 'G' (Grounded), or 'U' (Ungrounded) when ordering.
• Overall Lengths: Standard lengths include 150 mm (6") and 300 mm (12"). Other lengths are available; consult the Sales Department.
• Housing Material: Cadmium-Free Liquid Crystal Polymer Material with Miniature Connectors with Ground Strap electrical connection.

Mating connectors, cable clamps, and ground straps are offered as accessories. Mating connector model numbers include HMPW-J-F, HMPW-K-F, HMPW-E-F, and HMPW-T-F. The Cable Clamp Model No. is PCLM. Ground Strap Model No. GS-GMQ is included; extra ground straps (GS-GMQ-10) are available for additional cost.

Key Product Differences

Variants differ by thermocouple type, sheath material code in the model number, diameter designation, junction configuration, and length. Model numbers follow the pattern HGJMQSS--, where 'SS' denotes 304 SS Sheath.

• Model Number Examples: HGKMQIN-040G-6 (Type K, Inconel sheath, 1.0 mm OD, Grounded junction, 150 mm length); HGJMQSS-062U-6 (Type J, 304 SS Sheath, 1.5 mm OD, Ungrounded junction, 150 mm length).
• Replacement Parts: Write-on windows are available as WCP-S (Female connector face), WCP-GMQ (Miniature size probe side), and WCP-GMP (GMP connector side). Cal 5 is available.
