Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series BICV Brass Inline Check Valve is designed for service with a broad array of mediums, including compatible oils, gases, fuels, and hydrocarbons. The series incorporates a soft seat to provide bubble-tight shutoff and utilizes spring-loaded operation for rapid reseating across high and low temperature ranges.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series BICV operates within a process temperature range of 10 to 352°F (-12 to 176°C). Pressure limits vary by size: sizes from 1/4" to 2" are rated for 400 psi (27.6 bar) WOG, while sizes from 2-1/2" to 4" are rated for 175 psi (12.1 bar) WOG; all sizes maintain a Steam Working Pressure (SWP) of 125 psi (8.6 bar). The valve features a low cracking pressure of 0.5 psi (0.04 bar) and employs patented guided-disc technology to ensure reliability at varying service pressures.

Wetted Materials

  • Valve body: Brass (CW617N)
  • Obstructor: Polyetherimide
  • Seat: NBR rubber for 1/4" size; Fluoroelastomer for sizes 3/8" to 4"
  • Spring: 302 SS

Configuration Options

The series is available in Female NPT process connections ranging from 1/4" through 4". Models follow the naming convention BICV-, such as BICV-0F00 for a 1/4" connection. The design includes a smooth flow profile intended to minimize head loss and accumulation of debris.

Model Range

The series encompasses eleven distinct sizes, each with specific Cv values and weights:

  • BICV-0F00 (1/4"): 4.55 Cv; 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • BICV-0F02 (1/2"): 6.0 Cv; 5.1 oz (145 g)
  • BICV-0F07 (2"): 60.7 Cv; 2.3 lb (1.03 kg)
  • BICV-0F10 (4"): 225.4 Cv; 12.4 lb (5.64 kg)

Key Product Differences

Variation within the Series BICV is defined by connection size, which dictates overall dimensions and flow capacity. The seat material varies based on line size: NBR rubber is used for 1/4" connections, while Fluoroelastomer is specified for sizes from 3/8" to 4". All models feature a 1-piece body construction.
