Supported Applications

The Omega HH305/306 series comprises handheld digital thermometers and data loggers designed for use with Type K thermocouples. The unit features a dual-input configuration (T1 and T2) to measure temperature across industrial ranges, storing up to 16,000 records at programmed intervals as fast as once per second. It includes an RS232 interface and USB connectivity for bi-directional communication with a PC running Windows-based software for data display and saving.

Explicit warnings in the documentation state that these products are not designed for use in human applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series measures temperature from -200°C to 1370°C (-328°F to 2498°F) with a resolution of 0.1°C or 0.1°F for readings between -200.0 and 200.0. Accuracy specifications vary by range:

• -200°C ~ 200°C: ±(0.2% reading + 1°C)
• 200°C ~ 400°C: ±(0.5% reading + 1°C)
• 400°C ~ 1370°C: ±(0.2% reading + 1°C)
• -328°F ~ -200°F: ±(0.5% reading + 2°F)
• -200°F ~ 200°F: ±(0.2% reading + 2°F)
• 200°F ~ 2498°F: ±(0.3% reading + 2°F)

The basic accuracy specification does not include the error of the probe; users must refer to the specific probe accuracy for additional details. The device operates in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F) with humidity limits of 0% to 80% RH at 0°C to 35°C and 0% to 60% RH at 35°C to 50°C. Storage temperature is rated from -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). Input protection is limited to 60 Vdc or 24 Vrms AC maximum.

Configuration Options

The series supports the following configurable options and accessories:

• Sensors: Dual input spare Type K thermocouple (SC-GG-K-30-36); additional probes available separately.
• Pow er & Adapters: 9V battery included; AC adaptor (HH300-ADAPTER) and carrying case provided.
• Connectivity Cables: RS232 interface cable (HH300-CABLE); USB interface cable (HH300-CABLE-USB).
• Calibration: NIST-traceable calibration with points available as option CAL-3-HH.

The unit includes a 4-digit LCD display, data hold function, max/min tracking, clock setup, and recording interval configuration. It is supplied complete with two beaded wire Type K thermocouples (one per input), interface cables, software, carry case, battery, NIST certificate (no points), and operator's manual.
