Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series S2-4 Weatherproof Surface Temperature Assembly is designed for monitoring the temperature of distribution lines when it is not possible to penetrate the pipe. The assembly utilizes a strap-on connection that wraps around pipes ranging from 2 to 5" in diameter, allowing secure tightening with a flat head screw driver.

The series operates within a process temperature range of -32 to 240°F (-35.5 to 115.5°C). Accuracy specifications vary by sensor type:
- Platinum RTD: ±0.6% @ 32°F (0°C)
- Nickel RTD: ±0.5°F @ 32°F (0°C)
- Balco RTD: ±0.1% @ 32°F (0°C)
- Thermistors: ±0.36°F from 32 to 158°F (0 to 70°C)
The housing features a NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure rating and includes four ø0.896" [22.76 MM] 1/2" NPT conduit knockouts for flexible wiring entry.

The Series S2-4 is available with a choice of 11 output options to communicate with standard building control systems. The model number format follows the pattern S2-<XX>, where <XX> denotes the specific sensor type.
