Because each logger carries a high-contrast LCD, technicians can read the current relative humidity, temperature, and calculated dew point directly on the unit, while user-programmable high and low alarm thresholds flag any excursion via red and green status LEDs.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The loggers operate across a range of -35 to 80°C (-31 to 176°F). At temperatures below -20°C (-4°F) the LCD display exhibits slower response times of about 10 seconds, though logging itself continues normally.
Core measurement performance is shared across the series:
- Temperature resolution of 0.5°C (1.0°F) with repeatability of ±0.1°C (±0.2°F).
- Relative humidity resolution of 0.5% RH with short-term repeatability of ±0.1% RH.
- Calculated dew point accuracy of ±1.1°C (±2°F) for relative humidity measurements between 40 to 100% RH at 25°C.
Each logger stores up to 16,379 temperature and 16,379 relative humidity readings, with the logging interval selectable in software from 10 sec to 12 hrs. Alarm thresholds and start date/time are all configured through the supplied Windows control software.
Power comes from an included ½ AA 3.6V lithium battery delivering up to 1 year of operation depending on sample rate, ambient temperature, and use of the LCD display. Each unit weighs 40 g (1.4 oz) and measures 126.0 mm (4.96 in) in length by 25.3 mm (1 in) in diameter. The series carries CE marking, is RoHS compliant, and is manufactured under ISO 9001 certification.
Configuration Options
The two logger variants share the same 0 to 100% RH and -35 to 80°C (-31 to 176°F) ranges, LCD, USB interface, and alarm features, but differ in measurement accuracy.
OM-EL-USB-2-LCD
The standard logger provides temperature accuracy of ±0.5°C (±1.0°F) with a maximum overall error of ±2.0°C (±4.0°F), and relative humidity accuracy of ±3.0% RH with a maximum of ±5.0% RH across the 20 to 80% RH band.
OM-EL-USB-2-LCD-PLUS
The high accuracy variant tightens performance to ±0.3°C (±0.6°F) for temperature, with a maximum overall error of ±1.5°C (±3.0°F), and relative humidity accuracy of ±2.0% RH with a maximum of ±4.0% RH across the 20 to 80% RH band. It is the preferred choice where closer tolerance on both temperature and humidity is required.
Both variants deliver identical dew point accuracy of ±1.1°C (±2°F) and use the same ½ AA 3.6V lithium battery and OM-EL-BATT replacement.
