Supported Applications

The Flintec CC1 / CC1B compression load cell is a stainless steel, hermetically sealed device designed for harsh industrial environments. It is most commonly used as a POC/polished rod load cell in the oil pumping industry, where its sealed construction withstands moisture, dust, and washdown conditions.

Built from Stainless steel 17-4 PH (1.4548) with an enclosure rating of IP68 (up to 2 m water depth) / IP69K, the cell suits demanding weighing and force-monitoring tasks in the field. It carries CE, RoHS compliant, cULus LISTED, and OIML approvals (OIML valid for the standard CC1 variant only, not yet available for CC1B).

Operating Conditions & Performance

The CC1 is offered in 30 kib (13.6 t) and 50 kib (22.7 t) maximum capacities. Combined error performance is tight: non-linearity is ≤ ± 0.05 %*RO, hysteresis is ≤ ± 0.05 %*RO, and repeatability is ≤ ± 0.02 %*RO. Zero balance is ≤ ± 1 %*RO and the safe load limit is 200 %*E_max. Temperature effect on zero output is ≤ ± 0.027 (%*RO/°C) and on sensitivity is ≤ ± 0.036 (%*RO/°C).

The operating temperature range is -55...+80 °C, with a compensated temperature range of -25...+65 °C. Input resistance is 800 ± 50 Ω, output resistance is 700 ± 0.5% Ω, and insulation resistance is ≥ 500 MΩ at 100 V DC. Excitation is 5...15 V, and the current-output configuration is powered at 15 - 24 V.

The cell measures 125 mm high, 118 mm wide, and 82 mm deep, with a body diameter of Ø83 mm and a 1" x 3/4" reducer process connection. Packed weights are 2.45 Kg for the 30 kib model and 2.54 Kg for the 50 kib model. Electrical connection is a Molex 6-pin male connector (standard) or an Amphenol Connector Type MIL-DTL-5015 (optional for CC1B).

Configuration Options

The platform spans two distinct measurement configurations. The base CC1 provides the standard hermetically sealed compression cell with a mV/V output and OIML approval, ideal where a ratiometric bridge signal feeds a dedicated indicator or transmitter.

The CC1B variant supports a 4-20 mA current-loop output for direct integration with PLCs and long cable runs, and can be specified with the Amphenol MIL-DTL-5015 connector for rugged interconnection. Both share the same stainless-steel body, capacities, and sealing, differing in output type, wiring pinout, and connector options. Capacity selection between 30 kib (13.6 t) and 50 kib (22.7 t) tailors the cell to the expected load.
