Supported Applications

The Omega TX94A-SS series is an RTD Temperature Transmitter with 316 Stainless Steel construction, designed for direct connection to Pt100 sensors via M12 connectors. The product overview identifies the series as ideal for wash-down, outdoor, sanitary, or marine environments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The transmitter provides a linearized 4 to 20 mA dc output over specified input ranges with an accuracy of ±0.1% FS (includes effects of linearity, hysteresis and repeatability). The series supports measurement ranges from -40 to 260°C (-40 to 500°F), available in four specific configurations: -40 to 49°C / -40 to 120°F; -18 to 93°C / 0 to 200°F; -18 to 149°C / 0 to 300°F; and -18 to 260°C / 0 to 500°F. The device operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-10 to 185°F) with a response time of 3 dB @ 3 Hz.

Power requirements are 8 to 35 Vdc, with 24 Vdc recommended. The maximum loop resistance is calculated as (Vs - 8V)/0.020 A. The enclosure features an NEMA 4 (IP67) rated splash-proof design suitable for harsh conditions.

Configuration Options

The TX94A-SS series offers configurable options to meet specific installation needs, including connector gender and accessory selection:

• Housing Material: 316 SS with a polished finish.
• Process Connection: M12 style, 4-pin male (free mating female connector included).
• Electrical Connector Options: Configurable as 'M' or 'F' for the M12 connector type in the model number guide.
• Cable Accessories: Sold separately are M12C-PUR-4-S-F-5 (polyurethane jacket, 5 m) and M12C-PVC-4-S-F-5 (PVC jacket, 5 m).

The series includes protection against upscale break. Compatible PRS-M12 probes are noted as available online and sold separately.
