OM-HFPU

Supported Applications

The Omega OM-HFPU Series consists of pre-cut aluminum front panels designed for DIN meters and controllers within NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosures. These kits are intended for indoor and outdoor applications, specifically suited for higher temperatures and corrosive environments where non-metallic construction is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports two enclosure sizes with a rating of NEMA 4X (IP66). The fiberglass enclosures feature clear polycarbonate covers. Front panels are constructed from aluminum, while the main housing material for the associated OM-AMU Series enclosures is non-metallic fiberglass.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable cut-outs to accommodate various DIN sizes and quantities of instruments. The model number follows the format: OM-HFPU<ENCLOSURE_SIZE><DIN_SIZE><NUMBER_OF_CUTOUTS>.

DIN Cut-Out Configurations

Panels are available with cut-outs for ½, ⅙, ⅛, and ¼ DIN size controllers. The number of cut-outs varies by enclosure size:

• 0.3 H x 0.25 W x 0.15 m D (12 x 10 x 6") enclosures support one or two cut-outs.
• 0.40 H x 0.35 W x 0.20 m D (16 x 14 x 8") enclosures support one, two, or three cut-outs for ½ and ⅙ DIN sizes; one or two cut-outs for ⅛ and ¼ DIN sizes.

Enclosure Options

The associated OM-AMU Series fiberglass electrical enclosures are available with the following closure types:

• Hinge and screw closure (CCHF)
• Hinge and snap latch cover (LCCF)
• Hinge and twist latch cover (TCCF)

Accessories

The series supports the following accessories for mounting and internal organization:

• Pole mount kits: OM-AMPOLEMNT-10 for 0.25 m (10") wide enclosures; OM-AMPOLEMNT-14 for 0.35 m (14") wide enclosures.
• Steel sub-panels (rear): SCE-12P10 for 0.3 x 0.25 m (12 x 10") enclosures; SCE-16P14 for 0.40 x 0.35 m (16 x 14") enclosures.

Kits include stainless steel hardware and installation instructions, featuring a latch design that secures the panel with a ¼ turn.

Key Product Differences

Variants are distinguished by enclosure dimensions (0.3 H x 0.25 W x 0.15 m D vs. 0.40 H x 0.35 W x 0.20 m D), the specific DIN size of the cut-out, and the quantity of openings per panel. The OM-HFPU Series provides only the pre-cut front panels; full enclosure units are sold separately under the OM-AMU model series.
