Supported Applications

The OMEGAFLEX™ Chemical Tubing, FEP formulation (metric diameters), is designed for chemical applications. The clear FEP material can be heat sealed and heat bonded.

Operating Conditions & Performance

This series features a PFA/FEP wetted material construction with a wall thickness of 1 mm across all metric diameter options. Pressure ratings at 73°F vary by outer diameter (OD) as follows:

  • 4 mm OD / 2 mm ID models: 320 psi
  • 8 mm OD / 6 mm ID models: 160 psi
  • 10 mm OD / 8 mm ID models: 125 psi
  • 12 mm OD / 10 mm ID models: 105 psi
  • 14 mm OD / 12 mm ID models: 90 psi

FEP packages contain no splices. Specifications shown are typical and meant only as a guide; field testing is recommended to find actual values in the given application.

Configuration Options

  • Material: PFA/FEP formulation (clear color).
  • Diameters: Available with 4 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, and 14 mm outer diameters.
  • Wall Thickness: 1 mm for all listed configurations.
  • Lengths: Standard coil lengths of 5 feet (noted in overview), 25 feet, 50 feet, and 100 feet. The series supports non-standard colors upon consultation with Sales.

Variants Capabilities: Ordering Logic

The model number format is TYTF-ODID-Length, where the middle digits represent the outer and inner diameters in millimeters, followed by the length. For example, TYTF-1210-100 denotes 100 feet of tubing with a 1 mm wall, 12 mm OD, and 10 mm ID.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the TYTF-METRIC series differ by outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), and coil length. The pressure rating decreases as the tube diameter increases: smaller diameters such as 4 mm OD support higher pressures (320 psi) compared to larger diameters like 14 mm OD (90 psi). All variants maintain a consistent 1 mm wall thickness.
