Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-PBA Series consists of NEMA Type 4 sloping front pushbutton enclosures designed for the protection of oil-tight pushbuttons, switches, and pilot lights. These units are engineered to safeguard components in environments containing dust, dirt, oil, and water.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is constructed from 0.075" Carbon Steel with continuously welded seams to ensure structural integrity. Key performance features include an oil-resistant gasket for sealing and captivated cover screws that allow for immediate cover removal. The enclosures meet the following ratings:

• NEMA Type 4, 12, and 13
• UL Listed Type 4 and 12
• CSA Type 4 and 12
• IEC 60529 IP 66

The series supports hole sizes of 22.5 mm (for 22 mm devices) and 30.5 mm (for 30 mm devices). The product is made in the USA.

Configuration Options

The SCE-PBA Series offers a range of configurations accommodating from 1 to 16 pushbuttons, switches, or pilot lights. Model numbers follow the format SCE-PBA, where the number indicates capacity (e.g., SCE-1PBA through SCE-16PBA). Specific dimensional envelopes vary by model:

• Standard Sloping Front Models: Includes sizes such as SCE-1PBA, SCE-2PBA, SCE-3PBA, SCE-4PBA, SCE-6PBA, SCE-8PBA, SCE-9PBA, SCE-10PBA, and SCE-12PBA.
• Special Sloping Front Models: Includes sizes such as SCE-4SPBA, SCE-12SPBA, and SCE-16PBA with distinct height and depth dimensions to accommodate larger or differently arranged components.

To configure an enclosure for 22 mm hole size devices, add the suffix 'I' to the model number (e.g., SCE-1PBAI). This modification incurs no additional cost. Dimensions are provided in inches and millimeters across height (A), width (B), depth (C), and overall depth (D) parameters.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the SCE-PBA Series differ primarily by physical dimensions to match specific component counts and layouts. The series includes both standard sloping front enclosures and special configurations denoted by an 'S' in the model number (e.g., SCE-4SPBA versus SCE-4PBA). Additionally, models are available with or without the 22 mm hole size designation ('I' suffix), allowing selection based on the specific pushbutton diameter required.
