Supported Applications
The Omega AM-2250 series comprises multi-parameter controllers and transmitters designed for pH, ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential), contacting conductivity, inductive conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and flow measurements. The AquaMetrix by Water Analytics line supports applications requiring flexible calibration modes, including up to 16-point wet or dry calibration for conductivity acids and bases, as well as TDS and % concentration calculations.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20 to 70 °C in environments with 0 to 90% Relative Humidity (non-condensing). Measurement capabilities include a pH process range of 0 – 14 pH and ORP from -999 to 999 mV. Conductivity measurement ranges span 0.055 to 500,000 µS/cm depending on the cell constant used (available constants: 0.01 to 100). Flow inputs accept pulse outputs up to 2000 Hz with a totalizer range of 0 to 999 in any available units.
Electrical performance includes two fully scalable and optically isolated 4-20 mA analog outputs (Channel 1 supports optional PID; Channel 2 configurable for Process or Temperature) with a maximum load resistance of 800 Ω. The unit is housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure, rated ETL (US and Canada), cETL, RoHS Compliant, and CE pending.

The standard AC-powered models (AM-2250 and AM-2251) feature a large backlit LCD, three independent relays, and two 4-20 mA outputs. A loop-powered transmitter version (AM-2250TX) is available without the power-relay board or backlit display due to power constraints.
Model-Specific Configurations
- AM-2250: Supports 6-series and 500-series pH/ORP sensors, contacting conductivity, flow pulse inputs, two 4-20 mA outputs (one with PID), and three independent relays.
- AM-2251: Designed for inductive conductivity and dissolved oxygen measurements alongside pH/ORP; includes two 4-20 mA outputs and three relays but does not support contacting conductivity or flow pulse inputs per the summary table.
- AM-2250TX: Loop-powered transmitter version supporting pH, ORP (6-series/500-series), contacting conductivity, and flow; includes two 4-20 mA outputs but lacks relays and a backlit LCD.
Relay Control Options
The three independent dry contact relays support resistive loads up to 10A @ 120/240 VAC or 8A @ 30 VDC, and inductive loads up to 5A @ 120/240 VAC or 4A @ 30 VDC. Relay modes include Rising/Falling/Range mode, Cycle On/Off, Relay Delay, Overfeed Timer, and Override functions.
