Supported Applications

The Omega MTP Series consists of Jack Panel Assemblies designed for shielded thermocouples, RTDs, and 700 Series Thermistors. These compact assemblies provide a face-mount interface for connecting miniature 3-prong connectors in panel applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The MTP series features a compact design with a panel thickness of 2.4 mm (3/32"). The assemblies are shipped unassembled and require the separate purchase of male connectors and wire for complete installation.

Panel mounting dimensions for the Model MTACL bracket, used to mount these panels, specify an opening of 23.72 H x 8.08 mm W (0.93 x 0.32").

Configuration Options

The series supports a configurable envelope based on the number of rows and circuits per row, allowing for high-density connection panels.

Circuit Configurations

• 1 Row: 6, 12, or 18 circuits (Model MTP1)
• 2 Rows: 12, 24, or 36 circuits (Model MTP2)
• 3 Rows: 18, 36, or 54 circuits (Model MTP3)
• 4 Rows: 24, 48, or 72 circuits (Model MTP4)

Calibration Options

Panels are available with specific connector calibrations. The model number suffix indicates the calibration type: J, K, T, E, N, U.

Blank panels without pre-installed connectors (suffix -BLANK) and individual additional connectors (specified as MTP-(*)-F) are also offered.

Key Product Differences

The primary variation across the series is defined by the physical layout of circuits per row, which dictates overall panel height. The model number guide follows the format MTP<ROWS>-<CIRCUITS>-<CALIBRATION> (example: MTP4-24-K).

• Circuit Density: Panels with 12 or more circuits per row feature a length of 8⅜" for the first two rows, while higher density configurations extend to 11⅞".
• Housing Options: Custom color-coded anodized panels are available through the Custom Engineering Department (minimum order $1,000).
