Operating Conditions & Performance

The series meets or exceeds Special Limits of Error (SLE) and EN 60584-2 Tolerance Class 1 accuracy standards. Measurement ranges vary by thermocouple type: sub-zero to 425°C (800°F) for Type E, and sub-zero to 480°C (900°F) for Type K. Specific probe configurations have distinct temperature limits; the Low-Profile Penetration Probe handle is rated to 162°C (325°F), while the Epoxy Coated Tip Thermocouple is rated to 105°C (221°F). Wetted materials include 304 Stainless Steel, Inconel 600 (INC), and PFA insulated wire.

Configuration Options

The series offers a broad envelope of configurations across multiple probe styles including Heavy-Duty Penetration Probe, Tee-Style Penetration Probe, Fine Tip TJ Probe, Low-Profile Penetration Probe, Autoclave Probe, and Epoxy Coated Tip Thermocouple. Selection parameters include:

  • Thermocouple Types: Type J, K, T, or E.
  • Process Connections: Penetration tip, threaded tip, hypodermic tip, or epoxy sealed junction tip.
  • Housing and Sheath Materials: 304 SS with black plastic handle; sheaths available in 304 Stainless Steel (SS) or Inconel 600 (INC).
  • Dimensions: Probe diameters of ¼" OD (6.4 mm), ⅛" OD (3.2 mm), and 1.6 mm (0.063"); insertion lengths include 100 mm (4"), 203 mm (8"), and 250 mm (10"). Overall length is typically 1.5 m (5') with a stem length of 150 mm (6") for specific models.
  • Electrical Connections: RSC coiled cable options include miniature connector, subminiature male connector, or molded miniature connector.
