Supported Applications
The Omega CCD101N series consists of compact, economical temperature controllers featuring a non-adjustable calibrated setpoint. The unit utilizes a temperature-sensitive bimetal disk within an epoxy-sealed housing to activate heavy-duty switch contacts at the designated threshold.
Documented applications include use as:
- An across-the-line switch
- A device to operate contactor coils or external alarm devices
- A limit controller used in conjunction with other CCD Series thermostats
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series is designed for an exposure temperature range of -40°C (-40°F) to 105°C (220°F). Switching accuracy is specified as ±5°F. The SPDT switch contacts are rated at a maximum of 25 A, 277V.
Five fixed setpoint configurations are available within the series:
- CCD101N-050: Open Setpoint 50 ±5°F; Close Setpoint 35 ±5°F
- CCD101N-060: Open Setpoint 60 ±5°F; Close Setpoint 45 ±5°F
- CCD101N-075: Open Setpoint 75 ±5°F; Close Setpoint 60 ±5°F
- CCD101N-105: Open Setpoint 105 ±5°F; Close Setpoint 90 ±5°F
- CCD101N-200: Open Setpoint 200 ±5°F; Close Setpoint 185 ±5°F
Configuration Options
The CCD101N series is configured with specific electrical and mechanical attributes to support pipe-mounted installations.
- Housing & Materials: Plenco phenolic housing with an annealed 304 SS mounting flange. An epoxy resin seal protects the switch from dirt and moisture.
- Electrical Connection: 14 AWG copper leads, 1.2 m (48") long. Wire colors are Brown, Red, Black.
- Output Signal: SPDT switch contacts.
- Power Supply: AC supply.
- Mechanical Dimensions: Overall length 51 mm (2.0 in); diameter 4.3 mm (0.17 in); width 38 mm (1.5 in); height 30 mm (1.2 in).
To attach the controller to a pipe, two pipe clamps are required. The series offers the CCDPS-2 accessory: adjustable pipe straps from 2 to 6".
Key Product Differences
The primary variation within this series is defined by the fixed temperature setpoint selected at order time (e.g., -050, -060, -075, -105, or -200). The model number guide follows the format CCD101N-. All variants share identical housing materials, lead lengths, and switch ratings. No adjustable setpoint mechanism is provided; selection of a specific SKU determines the activation temperature.
