Supported Applications
The Omega WT-HD series consists of heavy-duty washer thermocouples designed for surface mount applications. These rugged sensors feature a washer mounting surface and an armored cable construction, providing durability in demanding environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The WT-HD series is rated to 480°C (900°F) for Type K only. The documented measurement range extends from -200°C to 480°C (-328°F to 900°F). Accuracy meets or exceeds SLE and EN 60584-2 Tolerance Class 1.
Key dimensional specifications include a probe diameter of 6.9 mm (0.275") and an overall dimension of 17.3 mm (0.680") OD. The standard cable length is 1.8 m (6').
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple thermocouple types, identified by the calibration code in the model number: J (Iron-Constantan), K (CHROMEGA®-ALOMEGA®), T (Copper-Constantan), N (Nicrosil-Nisil), and E (Chromel-Constantan).
Termination options include:
- Stripped leads
- OSTW connector
- SMPW connector
The housing, sheath, and wetted materials are constructed from 304 Stainless Steel. Custom designs are available in length, dimension, and insulation; consult the Custom Design Department for details.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the WT-HD series differ by thermocouple type (J, K, T, N, E) and electrical termination style. The model number format follows WT(*)-HD-72-<TERMINATION>, where the asterisk denotes the specific calibration code.
For lead wire lengths exceeding 1.8 m (72"), an additional cost applies per 300 mm (12"). The model number must be modified to reflect these custom length requirements.
