Supported Applications

The Omega ASK T-BLOCK Series consists of disconnect and fuse screw connection terminal blocks designed for DIN rail mounting. These units allow a circuit to be opened without removing the wire, facilitating enhanced troubleshooting with LED blown fuse indicators on select models. The series provides secure, maintenance-free connections via self-locking zinc-plated wire clamps. Specific applications include analog circuits (4 to 20 mA signals) where input/output currents can be read with a multimeter using the ASK-3A model.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports various electrical ratings depending on the specific model configuration. Voltage and current capacities range from 500V/6.3 A to 750V/6.3 A, with UL-rated models supporting up to 600V/16 A for the ASK-3A disconnect feed through terminal block. Wire compatibility spans AWG sizes 26-8 and 22-8 across different variants. Insulation strip lengths are specified as either 10 mm or 12 mm depending on the model width, which ranges from 6 mm to 10 mm.

Configuration Options

The ASK T-BLOCK Series is available in multiple configurations to accommodate different fuse sizes and voltage requirements. Models are offered for 5 x 20 mm, 5 x 25 mm, or 1¼ x ¼" fuses. Fuse terminal blocks with LED blown fuse indicators are configurable for either 24 Vdc (ASK-2LD-DC, ASK-4LD-DC) or 110 Vac (ASK-2LD-AC, ASK-4LD-AC). The series includes a full line of accessories including end plates-partitions, DIN rail end brackets, cross connectors, and marking tags.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes between disconnect feed through terminal blocks and fuse terminal blocks. The ASK-3A is a 16 A disconnect feed through terminal block without an integrated fuse, designed for signal monitoring. Fuse models (ASK-2S, ASK-4S) provide overcurrent protection with ratings of 6.3 A at voltages up to 750V depending on the model width and wire gauge compatibility.

Variants further differentiate by voltage type for LED indicator functionality: AC models support 110 Vac, while DC models support 24 Vdc. Physical dimensions vary by series number; ASK-3A units are 6 mm wide with a 10 mm insulation strip length, whereas ASK-2 and ASK-4 series units are wider (8 mm or 10 mm) requiring a 12 mm insulation strip.
