The Dwyer Series 477AV Compact Handheld Manometer Kit is a digital manometer and pitot tube assembly designed for balancing system air flows. The kit supports building commissioning, HVAC test and balance, critical environment testing, industrial process verification, and instrumentation validation.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series 477AV handheld unit utilizes a differential pressure sensor to measure negative, positive, and differential pressure. Accuracy is specified as ±0.5% FS at 60 to 78°F (15.6 to 25.6°C) and ±1.5% FS from 32 to 60°F and 78 to 104°F (0 to 15.6°C and 25.6 to 40.0°C). Pressure hysteresis is rated at ±0.1% of full-scale.

Operating temperature limits are 0 to 140°F (-17.8 to 60°C), with compensated performance from 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C). Storage temperatures range from -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C). The unit is powered by a user-replaceable 9 V Alkaline battery and features an automatic shut-off after 20 minutes. Service media includes air and compatible gases.

Measurement Ranges

The Series-477-1T kit encompasses the following pressure ranges, with corresponding velocity capabilities:

Model 477-000T-AV: 0-1.000 in w.c.
Model 477-00T-AV: 0-4.000 in w.c.
Model 477-0T-AV: 0-10.00 in w.c.
Model 477-1T-AV: 0-20.00 in w.c.

The digital display is a 0.4" (10.6 mm) 4-digit LCD with selectable English and metric units for pressure, velocity, and flow calculations.

Configuration Options

Each kit includes the handheld manometer housed in a fitted polyethylene case along with specific accessories to facilitate air velocity measurement:

Pitot Tube: Model 166T, a 36" telescoping stainless steel pitot tube fully adjustable from 11.5" to 36" (29.2 to 91.4 cm).
Tubing and Fittings: Two 4-1/2" lengths of 3/16" ID rubber tubing.
Static Pressure Tips: Two No. A-303 static pressure tips with magnetic mounting.
Tools and Accessories: Includes a No. A-532 AV slide chart, a 9 V battery, and a No. A-397 step drill for creating holes from 1/8" to 1/2" in 1/16" increments.

The manometer features built-in air velocity and volumetric flow calculations, memory storage for up to 40 readings, a backlight display, audible and visual alarms for over-pressure or over-flow conditions, and field-calibration capabilities via zero and span settings. A damping feature averages input values to stabilize fluctuating readings.
