Supported Applications

The Omega PRG200 Series Precision Pressure Regulators are designed for air service only. These regulators control and maintain precise output pressure in industrial compressed air systems.

Note: The series is intended for use in industrial compressed air systems only. Do not use these products where pressures and temperatures can exceed those listed under Specifications or with fluids other than air without consulting Omega Engineering Inc.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PRG200 Series utilizes a multi-stage design featuring a stainless steel measuring capsule as the sensing element. This activates a high gain servo balanced control mechanism where the main valve is controlled by a pilot valve, providing accurate pressure regulation to within 0.1%.

• Measurement Ranges: 0.5 to 25 psi (0.03 to 1.72 bar), 2 to 40 psi (0.14 to 2.76 bar), 2 to 60 psi (0.14 to 4.14 bar), and 2 to 120 psi (0.14 to 8.27 bar).
• Maximum Supply Pressure: 150 psig (50 psig for PRG200-25).
• Sensitivity: ⅛" (3.2 mm) H₂O.
• Flow Capacity: 14 scfm at 100 psig supply – 20 psig outlet.
• Exhaust Capacity: 3 scfm (5 psig above 20 psig set point); 11 scfm for PRG200-120H.
• Pilot Pressure Chamber Bleed Rate: < 0.08 scfm (0.15 m³/hr).
• Total Air Consumption: 6 scfh.
• Supply Pressure Effect: < 0.005 psig (for 25 psig supply change).

Variants and Models

The series includes standard models covering the ranges listed above, as well as a High Relief Model variant:

• PRG200-120H: A high relief model with an exhaust capacity of 11 scfm.

Configuration Options

The PRG200 Series offers configurable output pressure ranges and specific housing options to accommodate different installation needs.

Housing and Materials:

• Housing Material: Diecast zinc alloy.
• Wetted Materials: Body (Diecast zinc alloy), Capsule and Adjusting Screw (stainless steel), Assemblies (Stainless steel, brass, plated steel, acetal), Diaphragms (Buna-N elastomer and polyester fabric).

• ¼ NPT.

Mechanical Options:

• The regulator can be mounted in any position without affecting its operation.
• An optional PRG200-MB mounting bracket is available for panel mounting applications (tighten with a torque of 60 IN LBS).

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction within the series lies in the output pressure range and relief capabilities:

Standard Models:

• PRG200-25: Range 0.5 to 25 psi (0.03 to 1.72 bar); Maximum supply pressure limited to 50 psig.
• PRG200-40, PRG200-60, and PRG200-120: Ranges starting at 2 psi up to their respective maximums (40, 60, or 120 psi); Maximum supply pressure of 150 psig.

High Relief Model:

• PRG200-120H: Matches the PRG200-120 range (2 to 120 psi) but features an increased exhaust capacity of 11 scfm.

All models share the same physical dimensions, wetted materials composition, and process connection type. The series does not include electrical outputs or communication interfaces; operation is mechanical via a pilot valve system controlled by a stainless steel measuring capsule.
