Supported Applications
Dwyer Adjustable Pressure Snubbers protect pressure instruments against fluctuations, surges, spikes, and fluid hammer. The series is designed for service with compatible liquids and gases. By alleviating surges and pulsations, these devices assure steady pressure readings and extend instrument life.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Adjustable Pressure Snubbers operate within a process temperature range of -4 to 302°F (-20 to 150°C). The series supports a maximum pressure limit of 5690 psi (392 bar). Wetted parts are constructed from Brass or 316 SS. Each unit weighs 8.4 oz (238 g).
Configuration Options
The series offers fully adjustable damping via a fine thread adjustable valve, allowing for the tuning of harmful harmonic vibration from fluid systems. The design isolates the instrument from the process when service or replacement is necessary.
- Materials: Brass and 316 SS wetted parts are available across model families.
- Process Connections: Configurations include male/female BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) and NPT threads in sizes of 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". Specific dimensions vary by connection size, with overall height ranging from 25.0 to 28.0 units.
- Modeling: The model number guide follows the format A-, where material and connections define the specific variant (e.g., models A-251 through A-262).
Key Product Differences
Variants are distinguished by wetted material and thread standard. Models A-251, A-252, A-253, A-254, A-255, and A-256 feature Brass construction with BSPP or NPT connections respectively. Corresponding models A-257 through A-262 utilize 316 SS for the same connection types.
