The Omega PTC-20 Series comprises 1/16 DIN multi-programmable LED timers designed for industrial automation and control applications. The series includes three distinct models: the PTC-21 (Standard timer), PTC-22 (Repeat-cycle timer), and PTC-23 (High-performance timer). These devices feature a 4-digit dual-line display and are engineered to manage timing sequences in panel-mounted or DIN rail configurations.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The PTC-20 Series operates on a universal AC power supply of 90 to 264 Vac at 50/60 Hz. The units are rated for an ambient operating temperature range of 0 to 55°C (32 to 131°F) and can be stored in environments ranging from -40 to 90°C (-40 to 194°F). Configuration Options
The PTC-20 Series offers configurable output types and operating modes depending on the specific model selected. All models utilize an industry-standard 11-pin socket connection, which is required for operation (part number PTC-21-SOCKET). The front panel includes numeric keys (1–4), Edit (E) and Program (P) keys, I/O status indicators (IN, O1, O2), a Time Value display, a Time Range Indicator (H, M, S), and a Set Value display.
Output Configurations
The series supports the following output signal types:
- Relay: 2 SPDT contacts rated at 5 A with up to 15 ms latency (PTC-22 and PTC-23).
- Transistor: NPN.
- Open Collector: 30 Vdc, 30 mA max; available as opto-isolated on the high-performance model.
Operating Modes & Programming
The timers support multiple field-programmable modes. The PTC-21 base model supports On-Delay (OndL), Off Delay (OFdL), Interval (int), Repeat Cycle (CYCL), and Delay/Interval (dint). The high-performance PTC-23 offers 17 different operating modes.
Programmable parameters include:
- Time Range: Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Minutes:Seconds, or Hours:Minutes.
- Decimal Position: No decimal point (0), 10ths position (0.0), or Hundredths position (0.00).
- Timing Direction: Increment from zero to set value (uP) or decrement from set value to zero (dn).
- Power Reset Enable: Options to reset upon power reapplication or continue timing after interruption.
- Security Level: Configurable levels ranging from 0 (Full Access) to 3 (SP Locked Out with restricted Program Mode access).

The PTC-20 Series is differentiated by three primary models, each offering specific functional capabilities:
- PTC-21 (Standard Timer): Features a timed relay output configured as DPDT (5 A). Operating modes shown include On-delay, off-delay, on-delay (interval), interval, and repeat cycle.
- PTC-22 (Repeat-Cycle Timer): Designed for batch operations. Includes an inhibit input (NPN or dry contact) and supports outputs of 2 SPDT relays (5 A, 15 ms latency), NPN transistor, or Open Collector (30 Vdc, 30 mA max). Operating modes include Batch stop, batch continue, and interval.
- PTC-23 (High-Performance Timer): Offers the broadest functionality with 17 different operating modes. Outputs include 2 SPDT relays (5 A, 15 ms max latency), NPN transistor, or opto-isolated Open Collector (30 Vdc, 30 mA max). Includes an inhibit input compatible with NPN or dry contact.
All models require the PTC-21-SOCKET accessory for installation. The series is manufactured in the USA and is Year 2000 compliant.
