Supported Applications

The Omega OM-EL-USB-TP-LCD Series is a standalone temperature data logger designed to measure and store up to 32,510 readings using a supplied thermistor probe. The device features an LCD display for real-time monitoring and status indication via red and green LEDs. It includes user-programmable alarm thresholds and connects via USB interface for setup configuration and data download.

Data can be graphed, printed, and exported using Windows control software compatible with XP, Vista, 7, or 8 operating systems. The series is supplied with a replaceable lithium battery to support portable logging operations.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The logger unit operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 to +40 °C (+14 to +104 °F). Measurement capability covers the process temperature range from -40 to +125 °C (-40 to +257 °F) using the supplied probe. The device provides a resolution of 0.5 °C (1 °F) for both internal and displayed values.

Logger error accuracy is specified as ±0.1 °C (±0.2 °F). Logging rates are configurable from every 1 s to every 12 hr. Power is supplied by a 1/2AA 3.6V Lithium Battery, with an estimated life of 6 months depending on sample rate, ambient temperature, and use of the LCD.

  • OM-EL-PROBE-EXT-CAB-5M (5.0m).
  • OM-EL-PROBE-EXT-CAB-10M (10.0m).
• Maintenance: OM-EL-BATT replacement battery (2 required per unit).

The LCD display provides status indications including "Delayed Start" (d5), "Push to Start" (P5), and "Logging" (lo9) when the button is pressed in "LCD off" mode. A flashing message indicates if a probe has been disconnected during logging.

The series includes two primary model configurations: OM-EL-USB-TP-LCD and OM-EL-USB-TP-LCD-PLUS. Both variants share the same core measurement technology, USB interface connectivity, and LCD display functionality as described in the family manual.
