The Omega SCE Series NEMA Type 3R hinged cover enclosures are designed to house electrical controls, instruments, and components in outdoor environments. These units protect internal equipment against rain, sleet, and snow.

The series is rated as UL Listed Type 3R, CSA Type 3R, and IEC 60529 IP 32. Construction utilizes galvannealed steel with concealed hinges and spot weld construction to ensure durability in exposed locations.

Configuration Options

The SCE Series offers a range of dimensions and configurations tailored for various installation needs:

• Housing Material: 0.060" Galvannealed Steel for enclosures < 610 (24) wide; 0.075" Galvannealed Steel for enclosures ≥ 610 (24) wide.
• Dimensions: Overall height ranges from 12.00 to 42.00 inches, width from 12.00 to 30.00 inches, and depth from 6.00 to 16.00 inches.
• Latching System: Features black quarter-turn latches with padlockable wing knobs. Latch quantity varies by height: one latch for enclosures < 610 (24) high, two latches for heights ≥ 610 (24) and < 1016 (40), and three latches for heights ≥ 1016 (40).
• Sealing: Includes an oil-resistant gasket.
• Mounting Features: Provisions include a rain cap, mounting holes in the back (typical 4 places), and options for subplates. Optional mounting straps are available.

The model number guide follows the format: SCE-<HEIGHT><WIDTH><DEPTH>LP - <SUB-PANEL MODEL NO.>. Available approvals include UL, CSA, and a 1 YEAR WARRANTY. Options such as ground studs on door and body, an ⅛-16 grounding kit, and subplate mounting hardware are supported.
