Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series DCV/RDCV Diaphragm Valves are designed for use with Series DCT1000 and DCT500 dust collection timer boards. These valves control the air pulse in jet pulse type dust collectors to clean filters, offering a 90° angle between inlet and outlet that is suitable for pulse valve applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates with compatible gases that are filtered and oil free. Pressure limits range from a minimum of 4.4 psi (0.3 bar) to a maximum of 124.7 psi (8.6 bar). Ambient temperature ratings differ by model: -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C) for RDCV models and -4 to 122°F (-20 to 50°C) for DCV models. The operating process temperature is rated from -4 to 185°F (-20 to 85°C). Wetted materials include an aluminum body, 304 SS trim, NBR diaphragm and seals, and a polyamide diaphragm disc.

Configuration Options

The series is available in integrated (DCV) and remote coil (RDCV) configurations. Models feature either coupling or NPT connections to facilitate quick installation; the 'T' Series DCV features female threaded connections, while both 'C' and 'T' versions provide a 90° angle between inlet and outlet.

Key configurable dimensions include:

  • Sizes: Available in 3/4", 1", 1-1/2" (single or dual diaphragm), 2", 2-1/2", and 3" sizes.
  • Cv Factors: Range from 14 gal/min for the RDCV20T to 167 gal/min for the DCV76T1D, depending on size and diaphragm count.
  • Solenoid Power (Integrated only): Options include 110 VAC, 220 VAC, or 24 VDC with a DIN connector. Integrated coil models carry an enclosure rating of NEMA 4X (IP65).
  • Mounting: Valves can be mounted in any position.

Muffler accessories are available for field installation on valves with exhaust ports, specifically those with dual diaphragms or integral solenoids. Model A-237 (1/8" NPT) fits 3/4", 1", and 1-1/2" sizes; model A-238 (3/8" NPT) fits 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", and 3" sizes.

Key Product Differences

The primary distinction between the two families is the solenoid configuration. DCV models feature an integrated coil with a DIN electrical connection, while RDCV models utilize a remote coil setup. Within the series, model numbers indicate size (e.g., 20 for 3/4", 76 for 3"), connection type ('T' for NPT, 'C' for Coupling), and voltage configuration for integrated units (1D for 110 VAC, 2D for 220 VAC, 3D for 24 VDC). Larger sizes such as the RDCV45T through DCV76T1D utilize two diaphragms to achieve higher Cv factors.
