Supported Applications

The Omega FL1GP–8GP Series comprises back pressure compensated gas proportioning variable area flow meters designed to blend two or three gases into homogeneous, infinitely variable concentrations. These multi-tube assemblies eliminate the need for expensive custom blended gas mixtures and allow reproducible adjustment of concentrations during experiments.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is engineered so that flowrates remain unaffected by downstream pressure variations as long as back pressure does not exceed or approach input pressure. Key performance specifications include:

• Accuracy: ±2% full scale, from 10% to 100% of scale
• Repeatability: ±0.25% full scale
• Maximum Pressure: 200 psig
• Maximum Temperature: 250°F (180°F for water)
• Process Connection: ¼ FNPT

The flow tubes are constructed of borosilicate glass. Each unit ships complete with an individual correlation sheet for each tube and an operator's manual.

Configuration Options

The series supports configurations ranging from two-tube to three-tube assemblies, accommodating various gas blending requirements through selectable flow tubes (150 mm). The following options are available:

• Housing Materials: Black anodized aluminum or 316 SS end fittings
• Packing and O-Rings: Buna in aluminum models; FKM-A in 316 SS models
• Valve Types: Standard 6-Turn Valves or Precision 16-Turn Valves
• Mounting Options: Bench Mount Tripod Base (optional)

NIST calibration is available for an additional cost by adding the suffix “-NIST AIR” or “-NIST WATER” to the model number. The series also carries RoHS compliance and a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

To order, select the desired flow tube suffix from available listings (removing the FLT-prefix) and insert it into the model number pattern. For example, FL-5GP-61G-41SA-03C specifies a 3-tube gas proportioner with standard valves, aluminum end fittings, and tubes FLT-61G, FLT-41SA, and FLT-03C installed.
