Supported Applications

The Omega 10250T Series comprises heavy-duty 30.5 mm metal pushbuttons, contact blocks, and legend plates designed for industrial applications requiring durable switching performance. The series features zinc die-cast construction with chrome-plated housing and mounting nuts, enclosed silver contacts equipped with reliability nibs, diaphragm seals with drainage holes, and grounding nibs on the operator casing.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The 10250T Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -17 to 66°C (1 to 150°F) and supports storage temperatures from -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F). Units are rated for altitudes up to 2000 m (6562') and maximum humidity conditions of 95% RH @ 60°C (140°F).

Electrical performance includes an insulation voltage Ui = 660 Vac or Vdc, a thermal current Ith = 10 A, and a rated conditional short circuit current of 1 kA per IEC/EN 60947-5-1. Switching capacity ratings include AC15 (e.g., 6 A at 120V pf 0.3) and DC13 (e.g., 1.0 A at 125V L/R ≥ 0.95 @ 300 mS). Mechanical life is rated for 10 x 10^6 operations for pushbuttons, contact blocks, and PresTest units.

Enclosure protection meets UL (NEMA) Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13; IEC IP65 when mounted in a similarly rated enclosure. All other operators meet UL (NEMA) Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13; IEC IP65.

Configuration Options

The series offers a modular configuration system where operators are combined with contact blocks and legend plates. Available operator types include flush pushbuttons (black or green), extended pushbuttons (red), mushroom head operators, jumbo mushroom heads, E-Stop configurations, illuminated units, push-pull maintained 2-position operators, key selector switches, lever selector switches, and twist-to-release devices.

Contact blocks are stackable up to six per assembly. Configurations include:

• 10250T2: Contact block—2 NO
• 10250T3: Contact block—2 NC
• 10250T51: Contact block—1 NC
• 10250T53: Contact block—1 NO
• 10250T1: Contact block—NO-NC
• Specialized blocks for late opening NC, early closing NO with standard NC or NO.

Illuminated options support transformer type (e.g., 120V) and full voltage/resistor types. Lens materials include glass and plastic in colors such as red, green, amber, and white; some models feature side-lighted anodized aluminum rings. Electrical connections utilize saddle clamp terminals for 1 x 22 AWG (0.34 mm²) to 2 x 14 AWG (2.5 mm²) conductors with a torque of 7 lb-in (0.8 Nm).

Variants within the series are distinguished by operator style, illumination method, and contact arrangement.

• Momentary Pushbuttons: Includes flush operators (10250T101 Black, 10250T103 Green), extended red buttons (10250T112), mushroom head (10250T122), and E-Stop configurations (10250T17213).
• Selector Switches: Offered in maintained 2-position or 3-position with knob, lever, or keyed actuation.
• Illuminated Units: Available as indicating lights without lenses (e.g., 10250T411) or push-pull light units operating at 24/48V full voltage or 120V transformer types. Lens options differentiate between glass and plastic materials for specific applications.
• Complete Devices: Pre-assembled configurations include On/Off switches, H-O-A (Hand-Off-Auto) lever switches, Start buttons with NO contact blocks, Stop buttons with NC contact blocks, and Emergency stop units with jumbo mushroom heads and NC contacts.
