Supported Applications

The Omega PR-24 Series consists of RTD temperature sensors featuring integral Micro-DIN connectors designed for ease of installation and fast replacement. The series is described as ideally suited for use in demanding industrial environments, utilizing an all stainless steel sheath with IP65 rated connector protection.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PR-24 Series supports a process temperature range of -50°C (-58°F) to 250°C (480°F). The operating ambient temperature for the connector is specified as -30°C (-22°F) to 125°C (257°F). Standard configurations utilize Pt100 elements with Class A accuracy per IEC60751, featuring 4-wire construction. The series carries a pressure rating of 150 Bar.

Construction and Materials

The sheath material is 316 Stainless Steel. Standard process threads include G¼" (BSP), G½" (BSP), ¼" NPT, and ½" NPT; other threads are available on request.

• Sheath Diameters: Available in 3 mm, 6 mm, ⅛" (3.2 mm), and ¼" (6.4 mm).
• Stem Lengths: Standard lengths include 150 mm and 6", with non-standard lengths configurable by modifying the part number suffix.

Accessories and Options

The series supports several accessories for installation and extension:

• PR-24-CON-10M: Pre-wired micro DIN connector with 10 m (32.8') of 4-core PVC insulated wire with tinned copper overbraid.
• Copper Sealing Washers: CSW-1/4 for G ¼" threads and CSW-1/2 for G ½" threads.
• Extension Cable: EXTT-4CUI-24S-15M, a 4-core extension cable with 7 strands of 0.2 mm PFA insulated wire, 15 m (49.2') long.
