Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-FSDA series comprises NEMA Type 3R, 4, and 12 free-standing single-door enclosures designed to house electrical and electronic controls and instruments. These dual-access units provide protection from dust, dirt, water, and oil for indoor or outdoor installations.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is constructed from 0.104" Carbon Steel and offers two industry standard configurations based on environmental requirements:

• IS3 Standard: NEMA Type 3R, 12, and 13; UL Listed Type 3R and 12; CSA Type 3R and 12; IEC 60529 IP 55.
• IS4 Standard: NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12, and 13; UL Listed Type 3R, 4, and 12; CSA Type 3R, 4, and 12; IEC 60529 IP 66.

Enclosures are extra deep to accommodate applications requiring more interior space. A drip shield is required for above enclosures to meet the NEMA Type 3R rating.

Configuration Options

The SCE-FSDA series supports a range of dimensions and configurations defined by height, width, depth, and industry standard codes:

• Height Options: 72 inch or 90 inch.
• Width Options: 24 inch, 30 inch, or 36 inch.
• Depth Options: 24 inch, 30 inch, or 36 inch.

The model number follows the format SCE----. Available options include drip shields (SCE-D520N4 for 18" wide enclosures requiring cutting, SCE-D524N4 for 24", SCE-D530N4 for 30", and SCE-D536N4 for 36") and optional powder coated white panels.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series differ by their assigned industry standard (IS3 or IS4) and dimensional combinations. Models designated with "EL" in the part number, such as SCE-72EL2424FSDA, correspond to NEMA Type 3R and 4 free-standing outdoor enclosures under the IS4 standard. Other configurations, including models like SCE-723624FSDA and SCE-903636FSDA, are listed as NEMA Type 3R free-standing outdoor enclosures under the IS3 standard.
