Supported Applications

The Omega OME-WISE-7000 Series consists of web-based intelligent PAC controllers designed for remote logic control and monitoring in industrial automation. These modules function as Remote I/O units supporting building, factory, and machine automation applications, including remote maintenance, equipment monitoring, and remote diagnosis.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 75 C (-13 to 167 F) with storage capability from -30 to 80 C (-22 to 176 F). Humidity ratings are specified as 10 to 90% RH, non-condensing. All modules feature a compact mechanical design measuring 72 W x 123 L x 35 mm D (2.8 x 4.8 x 1.38 in), suitable for DIN-rail or wall mounting.

Performance specifications vary by model type:

  • RTD Input (7115): Accuracy of plus/minus 0.05% with a sampling rate of 12 samples/second total; supports Pt100, Pt1000, Ni120, Cu100, and Cu1000 sensors in 2-wire or 3-wire configurations.
  • Analog Input (7117): Accuracy of plus/minus 0.1% with a sampling rate of 10 samples/second total; supports voltage ranges from plus/minus 150 mV to plus/minus 10 V and current inputs including plus/minus 20 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA.
  • Thermocouple & Universal Input (7118Z, 7119): Accuracy of plus/minus 0.1% or better; supports thermocouples J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, C, L, M, and LDIN43710 alongside analog voltage/current ranges.
  • Digital I/O (7126): Analog input accuracy of plus/minus 0.1% with a sampling rate of 10 samples/second total; includes counters supporting up to 50 Hz maximum input frequency and 10 ms minimum pulse width.
  • Digital I/O (7144, 7152): Digital inputs support wet contact on voltage levels from 10 to 50 Vdc; digital outputs provide isolated open collector sink or source configurations with load currents up to 650 mA/channel at 25 C.
  • Power Relay (7160, 7167): Power relay Form A (SPST N.O.) output channels rated for 5.0 A/channel at 25 C with an operating voltage range of 250 Vac/30 Vdc.

All modules include overvoltage protection, typically rated at 240 Vrms for analog inputs and varying levels (e.g., 60 Vdc or 70 Vdc) for digital I/O. Isolation ratings are specified as 2500 Vac/Vdc for most models, with some digital/relay modules offering up to 3750 Vrms.

Configuration Options

The OME-WISE-7000 Series offers a configurable envelope of I/O types and communication features across multiple model variants:

  • Sensor Inputs: RTD (Pt100, Pt1000, Ni120, Cu100, Cu1000), Thermocouple (J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, C, L, M, LDIN43710), Analog Voltage/Current.
  • Output Types: Isolated open collector digital outputs (sink or source type) and Power Relay Form A (SPST N.O.).
  • Analog Output: Available on the 7126 model with ranges including 0 to 5 Vdc, plus/minus 5 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc, plus/minus 10 Vdc, and current outputs.
  • Digital I/O Configurations: Models include dedicated digital input modules (7144, 7151), sink/source output modules (7144, 7152), and power relay modules (7160, 7167).
  • Communication & Power: All models feature a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port with IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE (Class 1) capability; alternative power supply via terminal block is available from 12 to 48 Vdc.
  • Software Features: Built-in web server, IF-THEN-ELSE Rule Engine supporting up to 36 rules, timers, email alerts, CGI commands, recipes, and Advanced P2P sharing among controllers. MODBUS TCP protocol is supported for SCADA integration.

Key Product Differences

The series distinguishes models by their specific I/O channel counts and signal types:

  • OME-WISE-7115: 7-channel RTD input with 3-wire lead resistance elimination.

  • OME-WISE-7118Z: 10-channel thermocouple/analog input with high voltage protection and 6-channel isolated digital output; requires an optional external 125 ohm resistor for current inputs.
  • OME-WISE-7119: 8-channel universal analog/thermocouple input and 4-channel isolated digital output.
  • OME-WISE-7126: Mixed I/O module with 6 AI, 2 AO, 2 DI, and 2 DO channels; includes counter functionality.
  • OME-WISE-7144: 8-channel isolated sink type digital output and 8-channel isolated digital input.
  • OME-WISE-7151: 16-channel isolation digital input module with no outputs.
  • OME-WISE-7152: 8-channel isolated source type digital output and 8-channel isolated digital input.
  • OME-WISE-7160 & OME-WISE-7167: Power relay modules with 6 or 8 channels respectively, featuring Form A (SPST N.O.) contacts rated for higher loads compared to open collector outputs.
