Supported Applications
The ACI WPR2 Series is a Remote Wet to Wet Differential Pressure Transmitter designed to reduce installation time and provide mounting flexibility, often eliminating the need for additional plumbing and manifolds. It is well suited to HVAC hydronic systems and other applications where the differential pressure of a liquid must be monitored across two wetted process points.
Each transmitter uses 1/4" - 18 NPT Male process connections, with a Pressure Snubber included for light oils and water. The wetted parts are 304L Stainless Steel and 316L Stainless Steel, so the WPR2 is compatible with any gas or liquid compatible with 304L or 316L Stainless Steel. The high and low sensors are specifically calibrated as a pair and must not be interchanged.
The WPR2 can be ordered with a standard CMP rated PVC cable or with a metal clad cable; the metal clad cable provides end to end protection using continuously interlocked Type 304 Stainless Steel. The enclosure is rated NEMA 4X/IP66, with IP65 at the sensors. Select the model based on the maximum line pressure, not the differential pressure — for example, if the maximum line pressure is below 100 PSI and above 30 PSI, order the WPR2-100.
Operating Conditions & Performance
Accuracy is ±1.0% FSO for the three highest ranges and ±1.5% FSO for the lowest range, where accuracy includes Linearity, Hysteresis and Repeatability measured @ 71°F (21.5°C). Thermal Effects are ±2.0% FSO from 32-140°F (0-60°C), and the compensated temperature range is 32 to 140°F (0 to 60°C). The response time is 8 seconds over 0-100% FSO, the output update rate is 1 second, and a 15 minutes warm up is required before zeroing.
Operating temperature is split between the transducer and the electronics: the transducer is rated -40 to 257°F (-40 to 125°C) while the Electronics/Housing/Cables are rated 32-167°F (0-75°C). The storage temperature range is -13 to 176°F (-25 to 80°C), and operating humidity is 10 to 90% RH, non-condensing.
The transmitter supports field-selectable outputs: a 2-wire linear 4-20 mA DC current, and 3-wire 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC (the default) and 4-20 mA. Supply voltage depends on the output: for the 4-20 mA output it is 18-36 VDC (250 Ohm Load max.), 20-36 VDC (500 Ohm Load max.) or 24 VAC (+/-10%) 50/60 Hz; for the voltage outputs it is 16-36 VDC or 24 VAC (+/- 10%) 50/60 Hz. Supply current is 24 mA minimum for the 4-20 mA output and 6 mA minimum for the voltage outputs. Output load resistance is 500 ohms maximum for the 4 to 20 mA output and 5K ohms minimum for the 0-5 VDC / 0-10 VDC outputs.
Line pressure capability increases with the model rating:
- WPR2-30: maximum pressure 60 PSI, burst pressure 300 PSI.
- WPR2-100: maximum pressure 200 PSI, burst pressure 1000 PSI.
- WPR2-300: maximum pressure 600 PSI, burst pressure 3000 PSI.
Configuration Options
The WPR2 lineup is organized around three base models selected by maximum line pressure, each offering multiple field-selectable measuring ranges in both uni-directional and bi-directional modes:
- WPR2-30: Uni-Directional 0-30, 0-15, 0-7.5 and 0-3 psid; Bi-Directional +/-30, +/-15, +/-7.5 and +/-3 psid.
- WPR2-100: Uni-Directional 0-100, 0-50, 0-25 and 0-10 psid; Bi-Directional +/-100, +/-50, +/-25 and +/-10 psid.
- WPR2-300: Uni-Directional 0-300, 0-150, 0-75 and 0-30 psid; Bi-Directional +/-300, +/-150, +/-75 and +/-30 psid.
Beyond the pressure model, variants differ by cable type and length and by display option. Cables are available as standard CMP rated PVC harnesses or as metal clad (armored) cable, in 10', 20' and 40' harness lengths. An LCD Display option adds a local readout, and every model can be ordered with or without the LCD. The output type is field selectable on all variants.
Key Product Differences
Model numbers follow the structure A/WPR2-<PRESSURE RANGE>-<CABLE LENGTH>-<LCD OPTION>, for example A/WPR2-30-10-LCD. The pressure range digits are 30, 100 or 300; the cable length codes are 10, 20 and 40 for standard cable and M10 or M20 for metal clad cable; and the optional -LCD suffix adds the display.
Representative catalog numbers include A/WPR2-30-10, A/WPR2-30-M10, A/WPR2-30-10-LCD and A/WPR2-100-10, spanning both standard and metal-clad cable with and without the LCD. Each configuration carries its own ACI item number, such as 139365 for the A/WPR2-30-10 and 138180 for the A/WPR2-100-10.
Accessories and included items are the Pressure Snubber, Wire Harness, Metal Clad Cable and standard CMP rated PVC cable. The series is CE, RoHS2, WEEE and Reach compliant.
