Supported Applications
The Omega HHP400 Series Smart Manometer is a portable pressure instrument designed for everyday pressure measurement needs. The series supports Absolute, Differential, and Compound pressure measurements across various ranges. Specific capabilities include documenting up to 240 readings in over 30 engineering units with MIN/MAX capture functionality.
Applications extend beyond standard pressure monitoring through optional configurations:
- HHP460 barometric units display altitude and indicated air speed, including corrections for altitude and sea level.
- The Omega Tethered Sensor (OTS) port allows the addition of a second sensor to measure temperature or a secondary pressure point.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The HHP400 series delivers NIST traceable accuracy with performance specifications varying by unit type and isolation status. Pressure accuracy is rated at ±0.020% Full Scale + 0.005% of Reading for specific configurations, while other units achieve ±0.025% of full-scale.
Operating conditions are defined as follows:
- Ambient Temperature: -10 °C to 50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F)
- Storage Temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C (-4 °F to 158 °F)
- Media Compatibility: Dry, non-corrosive gas media for Non-isolated units; Gasses and liquid media compatible with 316SS for Isolated units.
The display resolution reaches up to 6 digits depending on the pressure unit selected. The HHP400 includes adjustable damping rates and auto shut-off features.
Configuration Options
The series encompasses two primary model families, HHP452 and HHP460, with distinct measurement envelopes:
- HHP452 Units (Non-isolated): Support ranges including 0 to 15, 30, 100 psi Absolute; -1 to 1 through 100 psi Differential and Compound.
- HHP460 Units: Offered in 0 to 30 psi and 0 to 100 psi Absolute ranges. These units provide altitude readings from 2000.0 ft to 36,000 ft (609.6 m to 10,972.80 m) and indicated air speed from 0 knots to 660 knots; 0 to 760 mph; 0 km/h to 1223 km/h.
- Isolated Options (HHP452): Available for gasses and liquid media compatible with 316SS, covering ranges up to 1000 psi Absolute, 500 psi Differential, and 3000 psi Compound.
The instrument is powered by 4 AA batteries. Connectivity includes a USB port for communication and data logging via the HHP400Suite application, which supports configuration and calibration. An Omega Tethered Sensor (OTS) Port enables expansion with MTS Series of Tethered Modules.
Key Product Differences
The series is differentiated by measurement type, isolation status, and specialized barometric functions:
- HHP452 Family: Designed for general pressure applications with extensive range options in Absolute, Differential, and Compound modes. Available as Non-isolated (dry gas) or Isolated (316SS wetted parts).
- HHP460 Family: Specialized barometric units featuring altitude and air speed calculations alongside standard absolute pressure measurement.
All models feature a protective red boot with overall dimensions of 9.8 in (248.9 mm) length from manifold to end of boot, 5.2 in (132.1 mm) width at the widest point, and 2.3 in (58.4 mm) thickness. Process connections are provided via a 1/8" Female NPT 316SS USB interface.
