Supported Applications
The OM-CP-HITEMP140-FR is a high temperature data logger with a 50 mm (2") fast response probe, built to record temperature during rapidly changing thermal processes with an ultra-fast response time. Its applications include oven profiling, steam sterilization, autoclave verification and mapping, and seafood processing.
Because the probe reaches thermal equilibrium quickly and the stainless steel body is submersible to IP68, the logger is well suited to wet, high-temperature cycles where a slower sensor would lag the true process temperature.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The logger uses a 100 Ω platinum RTD and measures a probe range of -200 to 260°C (-328 to 500°F), with a resolution of 0.01°C (0.02°F) and a calibrated accuracy of ±0.1°C (±0.18°F) from 20 to 140°C (68 to 284°F).

Configuration Options
The series centers on the OM-CP-HITEMP140-FR data logger, with configuration options that add a thermal shield and/or a calibration certificate:
Base logger (without thermal shield)
The OM-CP-HITEMP140-FR alone delivers the fastest response — in water it reaches 60% of the step change in 10 sec and 90% in 12 sec — and is the configuration used where the probe can be immersed directly in the process.
With thermal shield
Adding a PTFE thermal shield lets the logger survive time-limited exposure to a -200 to 250°C (-328 to 482°F) operating environment. The vented OM-CP-HITEMP140-FR-TSK uses a 109 x 51 mm dia (4.3 x 2.0") enclosure weighing 270 g (9.5 oz) not including the data logger, while the flush OM-CP-HITEMP140-FR-TSK-FL uses a smaller 70 x 51 mm dia (2.75 x 2.0") enclosure weighing 190 g (6.7 oz) not including the data logger.
Certification
Any of these configurations can be ordered with a NIST calibration certificate using the corresponding -CERT part number.
