Supported Applications

The Omega SP-014 Series is a modular, smart sensing device designed to integrate process signals into the Omega Link Ecosystem. It functions as an analog process interface with I/O capabilities for data acquisition and monitoring tasks.

• Process signal integration via 3 independent inputs configurable as Current Loop (20 mA), Voltage (1.0 VDC or 2.0 VDC).
• Mixed-mode operation measuring one process input alongside a digital pulse input for rate, pulse width, duty cycle, or counting.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The SP-014 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) and requires a power supply between 2.8 VDC and 3.3 VDC (excitation voltage: 3.3 VDC). The device achieves IP67 enclosure rating when mated.

Configuration Options

The series utilizes a modular M12 construction with specific connector configurations for process and I/O access. The overall dimensions are 22.1 mm W x 96.7 mm L (0.87" x 3.80") not including mounting tabs.

Connectors

• M12 5-Pin Female Connector: Supports Process Mode or Mixed Mode wiring configurations for Excitation Power, Ground Reference, and up to two process inputs (Process 0/1) or digital pulse/reset signals.
• M12 8-Pin Male Connector: Provides access to Discrete I/O Signals (DIO 0, DIO 1), Interrupt Signal (INTR), I2C Clock/Data (SCL/SDA), Shield Ground, and Power Supply (3.3VDD/GND).

Configuration & Ecosystem

The probe is software-configurable via SYNC software to enable integrated alarm and control functions with secure authentication. It supports deployment in wired or wireless configurations using Omega Link Smart Interfaces and Gateways.

• Smart Interfaces: Wired USB (IF-001), Wired RS485/Modbus (IF-002), Wireless Sub GHz 915 MHz (IF-006-1-NA) or 868 MHz (IF-006-1-EU).

Accessories

The series supports various field-install connectors and cables:

• M12.5-S-M-FM: M12 5-pin Straight Plug Field install connector with screw terminals.
• M12.8-T-SPLIT: Smart Probe M12-8 pin shielded T-Splitter enabling access to I/O pins.
• Cables: Dual M12-8 connectors available in lengths of 1m (3.3'), 3m (9.8'), and 5m (16.4') with straight or right angle terminators.
