Supported Applications

The Omega FL46300 Series consists of in-line variable area flow meters designed for visual monitoring of fluid flow. These handmade units feature a clear-as-glass acrylic body with screen-printed scales to provide direct, easy-to-read measurements in both English and metric units.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series is engineered for specific process limits defined by the meter construction:

  • Accuracy: ±5%
  • Temperature Limit: 65°C (150°F) at 0 psig
  • Pressure Limit: 150 psig at 21°C (70°F)
  • Maximum Pressure Drop: 2 psi max.

The meters are constructed from high-quality acrylic rod stock, polished to a clear finish. Wetted materials include an Acrylic body and FKM O-ring seals. The float is typically 316 SS; however, the FL46301 and FL46302 models utilize a PVC float.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple flow ranges calibrated in GPM or LPM across various model numbers. Selection is based on the required range and end fitting size:

  • Model FL46301: 0.025 to 0.250 GPM (0.1 to 1.0 LPM) with ½ FNPT
  • Model FL46302: 0.1 to 1.0 GPM (0.4 to 4.0 LPM) with ⅜ FNPT
  • Model FL46303: 0.2 to 2.0 GPM (1.0 to 7.5 LPM) with ⅜ FNPT
  • Model FL46304: 0.3 to 3.0 GPM (1.5 to 11 LPM) with ⅜ FNPT
  • Model FL46305: 0.3 to 3.0 GPM (1.5 to 11 LPM) with ½ FNPT
  • Model FL46306: 0.5 to 5.0 GPM (2.0 to 20 LPM) with ½ FNPT
  • Model FL46307: 1.0 to 10 GPM (4.0 to 38 LPM) with ¾ FNPT; includes aluminum stress rings on end fittings.
  • Model FL46308: 1.0 to 17 GPM (4.0 to 64 LPM) with 1 FNPT; includes aluminum stress rings on end fittings.
  • Model FL46309: 2.0 to 20 GPM (8.0 to 80 LPM) with 1 FNPT; includes aluminum stress rings on end fittings.

Optional NIST calibration is available by adding the "-NIST" suffix to the model number for a 5-point calibration. The series also supports RoHS compliance and carries a 1 YEAR WARRANTY option.

Key Product Differences

Differences within the FL46300 Series are defined by flow range, end fitting size, float material, and structural reinforcement:

  • Float Material: Models FL46301 and FL46302 use a PVC float; all other models in the series utilize a 316 SS float.
  • Structural Reinforcement: Models FL46307, FL46308, and FL46309 feature aluminum stress rings on end fittings for added strength.
  • Dimensions: Overall height varies by model. The FL46301-06 measures 208 H x 32 mm D (8⅜ x 1¼"). Larger models such as the FL46307-09 measure 279 H x 32 mm D (11 x 1¼").
  • End Fittings: Available in ¼ FNPT, ⅜ FNPT, ½ FNPT, ¾ FNPT, and 1 FNPT configurations depending on the specific model number.
