Supported Applications

The Omega DPG-101 is an AC-powered electronic digital pressure gauge designed to monitor hydraulic fluids. The series measures pressure via resistance on an isolation membrane, amplifies the signal with a high-precision amplifier featuring low temperature drift, and converts it using a high-accuracy A/D converter for display on a 4-digit LED screen.

Documented industries include hydro-power, water, petroleum, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic sectors. The gauge is intended for installation directly on the hydraulic pipe line.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DPG-101 series supports a measuring range of -0.1–0–100MPa with pressure types including Gauge (G) and Absolute/Compound (A). Accuracy is specified as ±0.25% for gauge pressures greater than 5psi, and ±0.5% FS for all other ranges, including absolute, compound gauge, and vacuum applications.

Performance stability is rated at ≤0.1% FS per year. The device operates within an ambient temperature range of -30°C – 80°C and a process temperature range of -40°C – 150°C. A high-temperature accessory must be selected if the fluid exceeds 80°C.

The gauge features a stainless steel structure with SS316 wetted materials, an IP65 enclosure rating, and is rated for ≤90% humidity. The unit withstands overload pressures of 150%–200%. For measuring ranges less than 100kPa, vertical installation is required.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable pressure ranges and output options across its variants. Key capabilities include:

  • Display & Resolution: High-resolution 4-digit LED display with a standard 100mm gauge dial.
  • Process Connection: Standard connection is 1/4 NPT Male; other size connectors are available to order.
  • Electrical Output: Configurable for 4–20mA output. Wiring configuration uses terminal 1 (red) for power+ and terminal 2 (blue) for power-.
  • Power Supply: Operates on 220VAC.
  • Calibration Features: Includes a parameter correction function to adjust instrument zero and error values.

In high vibration or shock environments, the series supports mechanical decoupling of pressure pipe joints through the use of hoses. Electrical installation notes recommend keeping connections as short as possible, using shielded wire, avoiding direct access to user device wiring that causes interference, and grounding the shell separately when using mini hoses.

Key Product Differences

The DPG-101 series is available in multiple model configurations denoted by suffixes indicating pressure range and type. Available variants include models ending in 'G' (e.g., DPG101-005G, DPG101-100G), 'A' (e.g., DPG101-015A, DPG101-200A), and specific compound or vacuum configurations such as V-series models. The series also includes variants with metric pressure units indicated by suffixes like KG (e.g., DPG101-1.0KG).

Physical dimensions for the standard housing are 100mm diameter, 145.5mm height, and 39mm depth, with a hex size of SW27 and an O-Ring specification of φ18*2.65.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Omega pressure gauge It took months longer than originally stated to receive, I got notifications from my credit card that the gauge was charged to my card 5 or 6 times but no delivery notice. I finally got the gauge a few weeks after I emailed Omega. I love the gauges but something happened with this order.

It says it has 4-20mA, but there is no connector or wires on the outside of the case. How do I get the 4-20mA out for logging?

Asked by: Rob F
There should be 4 wires in the external cable. Red + Power, Yellow - Power, Blue+ 4/20 mA, Green -4/20 mA

According to the "Product Details" the Power Supply for this gauge is 85-240VAC; however, according to the "Manual" M5702/1218, the power supply is 220VAC. Can you please confirm the power supply requirements?

Asked by: Logan
Well, after purchasing this gauge and wiring it for 115VAC it works just fine, soooo.... looks like the product details are correct!
