Supported Applications

The Omega G Series Sanitary Clamp High Temperature (SIP) Precision Turbine Meters are volumetric flow measurement devices designed for sanitary applications. The series meets 3-A Sanitary Standards via the Third Party Verification (TPV) program and is suitable for Clean in Place (CIP), Steam in Place (SIP), and Clean Out of Place (COP) requirements.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The GSCPS series operates within a process temperature range of -100° F to 225° F (-74° C to 107° C). For SIP cleaning, the internal components are limited to less than 285° F (140° C) for up to 1 hour. The pressure rating is defined as "Limited by fitting size, clamp size and temperature."

Performance specifications include an accuracy of ± 0.5% linearity and repeatability of ± 0.1%. The output signal frequency ranges from 100 - 1000 Hz across all sizes.

Configuration Options

The series is available in three meter sizes: 1", 1-1/2", and 2" with Sanitary Clamp fittings. Each size offers a standard profile or a low-profile adapter option (indicated by the "L" suffix, e.g., -100L).

The series supports optional weather-proof enclosures in Zinc or Stainless Steel, Remote Electronics (F Series), and adapter kits for QS displays. Calibration reports come standard with G Series meters; N.I.S.T. certification is available.

Key Product Differences

Variants are distinguished by meter size and profile height:

  • Standard Profile (GSCPS): 1" models measure 3.56 in (90 mm) length x 1.84 in (47 mm) height; 2" models measure 6.06 in (154 mm) length x 2.39 in (61 mm) height.
  • Low Profile Adapter: Reduces the vertical footprint, with 1" low-profile units measuring 1.03 in (26 mm) height and 2" units at 1.45 in (37 mm) height while maintaining standard lengths.

The model number guide follows the format G - FITTING TYPE - SHAFT / SLEEVE BEARING / THRUST BEARING - TURBINE SIZE & FLOWRATE, such as "G SC PS -150" for a 1-1/2" Sanitary Clamp Stainless Steel meter.
