Supported Applications
The Omega VIBROCONTROL 1850 is a four-channel vibration monitoring unit designed for accelerometer inputs (CCS type). It enables cost-effective machine protection for critical rotating equipment featuring roller element bearings as well as sleeve bearings. The system supports time waveform recording and data storage capabilities when connected to Compact Analyzer software or EtherBridge modules.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The VIBROCONTROL 1850 operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 °C to +50 °C, with a storage temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C. The unit is housed in a DIN rail enclosure rated IP20 and weighs 160 g (measuring module). It requires a power supply of +24 V DC, ±5 %, with a maximum power consumption of 10 W.
Performance specifications for the VC-1850 include:

Configuration Options
The VIBROCONTROL 1800 Series utilizes a modular Link Concept, allowing the VC-1850 to interconnect with other components via DIN rail bus connectors. The series supports various configurations for machine protection and diagnostics:
- Input Channels: Four configurable vibration sensor inputs (accelerometers CCS), one input for process data (analogue 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-22V), and one Tacho input for NPN, PNP, AC speed sensors.
- Measurement Results: Two overall vibration values per channel with detectors including True RMS, Pk-Pk, or Pk. Four roller bearing condition units are available using Kurtosis/Crest factor (acc. VDI 3832) and Envelope detection.
- Outputs: Up to four configurable analog DC outputs (0/4 - 20 mA, 0/2-10 V) assignable to any measuring parameter; voltage load min. 10 kΩ, current load max. 400 Ω. Four alarm relay drivers are included with break-function.
- Communication: RS-485 interface (daisy chain up to 255 units) and Mini USB/B for remote access through EtherBridge Module (VC-1803).
- Data Storage & Recording: Time waveform recording of up to four input channels simultaneously via RS-485/LAN or Mini USB. Data storage is supported with VIBROCONTROL 1803/1804 EtherBridge modules.
The series supports additional relay expansion (VC-1801) providing up to 24 galvanic isolated relays and an OK relay for protection monitor configurations according to ISO/EN 13849-1. Field housings are available in Fibox Polycarbonat (AC-2131, IP67), Aluminium (AC-2132), or metal (AC-2133).
