Supported Applications
The Omega DPG1000 Series comprises industrial digital pressure gauges designed for measuring gage (psig) and absolute (psia) pressures, as well as vacuum applications. The series supports continuous operation in environments requiring a rugged enclosure or portable battery power. Documented measurement types include pressure and vacuum with ranges extending from -30 inHg to 5000 psi.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DPG1000 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of –4 to 185°F (–20 to 85°C) and a compensated temperature span of 32 to 158°F (0 to 70°C). Storage is supported from –40 to 203°F (–40 to 95°C), with some documentation citing –67 to 203°F (–55 to 95°C) for specific configurations. Accuracy specifications are ±0.25% FSO or better, ±1 least significant digit for standard models and ±0.10% FSO or better, ±1 least significant digit for DPG1001 variants.
Performance includes a typical response time of 3 readings per second (or 50 milliseconds) with hysteresis and repeatability included in the accuracy specification. The series features all wetted parts constructed from 316 SS, compatible with liquids and gases suitable for this material. Overpressure protection is rated at 2x rated pressure minimum, while burst pressure is specified as 4x rated pressure minimum or 10,000 psi, whichever is less.
Configuration Options
The series offers three primary power configurations to accommodate different installation needs:
- Battery-Powered (DPG1000B): Operates on 2 AA batteries with typical life up to 2500 hours. Features include a LOBAT indication and optional auto shut-off timers of 10 minutes (-F10) or 30 minutes (-F30), as well as a no auto shut-off option (-NS).
- Loop-Powered (DPG1000L): Powered by an external 4-20 mA current loop requiring 8 to 32 VDC at the gauge terminals. These models provide a true analog output and include internal potentiometers for adjusting loop 4 mA and 20 mA levels.
- AC/DC-Powered (DPG1000AD): Accepts 8 to 24 V AC or 9 to 32 V DC. A wall-mount 115 V AC power supply (model DPG1000-PS) is available as an accessory.
Housing options include a standard extruded aluminum case with epoxy powder coating and poly-carbonate cover, or a NEMA 4X (IP66) UV stabilized polycarbonate/ABS enclosure. The process connection is standardized at ¼" - 18 NPT male. Display resolution is provided via a 3½ digit LCD with 13 mm (0.5") digit height.
Optional features include a backlit display (-BL suffix), available for battery and AC/DC models but not loop-powered or DPG1001 units, as well as compound range configurations such as -30 inHg to 100.0 psi. Absolute pressure ranges are offered on select gage models by changing the model suffix (e.g., from "-G" to "-A").
Key Product Differences
The DPG1000 Series is differentiated primarily by power source, accuracy class, and enclosure rating. Standard accuracy units are designated as DPG1000 (±0.25%), while high-accuracy models carry the DPG1001 designation (±0.10%) and include an optional NIST traceable calibration certificate.
Model nomenclature follows a structured format: DPG[Series]-[Power][Range]. For example, "B" indicates battery power, "L" denotes loop-powered with 4-20 mA output, and "AD" signifies AC/DC powered units. The DPG1100 designation is used for models housed in the NEMA 4X enclosure (e.g., DPG1100B or DPG1100L), whereas standard aluminum cases retain the base series number.
Specific range capabilities vary by model family; while most ranges are available across power types, certain high-accuracy ±0.10% configurations and specific compound vacuum/pressure ranges may be limited to particular housing or accuracy classes as detailed in the ordering table.

Simple and Easy to Use
I purchased this a month ago to measure the pressure in our microfluidic systems. It was easy to connect using tubing and connectors I bought from a different source. Very simple and so far I am satisfied with its performance.

DPG1000AD-100G: Is the zero and span potentiometer range ±10% or ±15% - there is conflicting online documentation? Also, if you turn the span pot all the way up will the gauge display 110/115psi at full input pressure or will it be capped at 100psi.
Thank you for your inquiry, the zero and span potentiometer has a range of +\- 10%

It is possible to set up the gauge to not turn off and if so, how? I just turn it on and after a couple of minutes turn off atumaticaly.
The auto shutoff feature on this gauge cannot be disabled. The NS (no shutoff) option must be requested at time of order.
