Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series GG Gage Guard is designed to protect pressure or vacuum instruments from clogging, corrosion, or damage. It provides a protective barrier between the process fluid and the instrument using a hermetically-sealed uni-body construction that protects against the possibility of leaking.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series GG operates within a temperature range of 70 to 185°F (21 to 85°C). Maximum pressure ratings vary by media type and temperature:

• Liquids: 160 psi (11 bar) @ 70 to 185°F (21 to 85°C)
• Gases: 100 psi (6.9 bar) @ 70 to 100°F (21 to 38°C); 30 psi (2.1 bar) @ 100 to 185°F (38 to 85°C)

The device offers an accuracy of ±4%. The housing is constructed from glass-filled Polypropylene, making it suitable for most inorganic chemicals.

Housing and Wetted Materials

• Housing: Glass-filled Polypropylene
• Wetted Parts: Glass-filled polypropylene housing, Buna-N or fluoroelastomer diaphragm

Process Connections

The Series GG features a 1/4" female NPT connection on the instrument side and a 1/2" male NPT connection on the system side. The overall diameter is 1-3/8" (35 mm).

Model Configurations

• GG1: Buna-N diaphragm
• GG2: Fluoroelastomer diaphragm

Key Product Differences

The series is distinguished by the diaphragm material selected for specific chemical compatibility needs. Model GG1 utilizes a Buna-N diaphragm, while model GG2 employs a fluoroelastomer diaphragm. Both models share identical housing materials and pressure/temperature ratings.
