Supported Applications
The Series DPG Digital Pressure Gages from Dwyer Instruments deliver ±0.25% or ±0.5% full-scale accuracy with a 4-digit digital display that eliminates the parallax error common to analog gages. They are designed for process applications and for replacing legacy analog gages, and are suitable for compatible liquids and combustible gases.
Each gage is battery powered with an auto shut-off to conserve battery life and uses a 4-button keypad for easy access to functions such as the backlight, peak/valley recall, tare, auto zero, and unit conversion. An overflow "OFL" designator flashes to acknowledge that the gage's pressure range has been exceeded, helping guard against over-pressure damage.
Operating Conditions & Performance
Accuracy is 0.25% full scale or 0.5% full scale depending on model, with repeatability and hysteresis of ±1 least significant digit @ 70°F (21°C) included in the accuracy specification. Response time is 4 sec, and the 4-digit display uses .425 H x .234 W digits. Temperature limits are 0 to 130°F (-18 to 55°C).
The pressure limit is 2x the pressure range for models rated at or below 1000 psi, 5000 psi for the 3000 psi range, and 7500 psi for the 5000 psi range; the gage must never be pressurized beyond these maximum allowable limits. The process connection is 1/4" male NPT, wetted materials are Type 316L SS, and the housing combines a black polycarbonate front and back cover, an anodized aluminum extruded housing with recessed grooves, a polycarbonate overlay, Buna-N O-rings, and 316L SS sensor construction.
Power is provided by two AAA alkaline batteries, included and user replaceable, giving 2000 hours of operation with a low battery indicator noted at 60 hours in continuous use. The gage auto shuts off after 60 minutes when idle and can be disengaged, while the backlight has a 2 minute auto shut-off. The unit is designed to meet NEMA 4/4X (IP65), measures 3.00" OD x 1.90" deep (max), and weighs 8.84 oz (275 g).
Configuration Options
The lineup is organized into two accuracy classes. The DPG-000 series offers ±0.5% FS accuracy, while the corresponding DPG-100 series offers ±0.25% FS accuracy over the same pressure ranges, so a given range is available in either a standard or a higher-accuracy version.
Ranges progress from vacuum through 5000 psi, and compound models such as the DPG-020 cover a combined vacuum-to-pressure span. An optional ceramic sensor is available by adding "C" to the range, for example DPG-100C; gages with the ceramic sensor are not CE and FM approved. The DPG-100 models are FM approved to be intrinsically safe for Class I, Division I, Groups A, B, C and D, whereas the DPG-000 models carry CE only.

The model number follows the pattern DPG-<MODEL>, for example DPG-002. Pressure ranges are shared across the ±0.5% and ±0.25% classes:

Reliable and durable
I have used one of these gauges in 200psig for a few years now on my HVAC service van. It has held up well in the service industry and has been a reliable and fast pressure indicator for everything from boilers to domestic water systems. Batteries last well even with the gauge experiencing temp shifts as its in a service van in the Northeast year round. Just ordered a couple of more for use in my lab as pressure standards to test analog gauges.
