Supported Applications

The Omega DPG108 is a battery-powered digital pressure gauge designed for easy on-site installation. It utilizes a high-precision piezo-resistive pressure sensor with signal amplification and A/D conversion to display readings on an LCD. The series supports gasses and liquids compatible with stainless steel wetted materials.

Documented industries include hydropower, water, petroleum, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic sectors. WARNING: These products are not designed for use in, and should not be used for, human applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DPG108 series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C ~ 70°C with a humidity rating of ≤90% Relative Humidity. The enclosure is rated IP65 / IP68 when equipped with the Silicone case.

  • Measuring Range: -0.1~0~100MPa
  • Accuracy: ±0.25% FS for gauge pressure >5psi; ±0.5% FS for all others including absolute, compound gauge, and Vacuum ranges.
  • Stability: ≤0.1% FS per year
  • Overload Pressure: 150%~200%
  • Sampling Rate: 4 times per second (≤4 t/s response time)
  • Resolution: 4 Digits
  • Power Supply: 9VDC with efficient power usage exceeding 2,000 hours in power-saving mode.

Variants and Configurations

The series is available across multiple pressure ranges indicated by model suffixes (e.g., -005G, -1.0KG, -V100G). The standard process connection is 1/4 NPT.

  • Pressure Types: G / A / D
  • Engineering Units: psi, bar, kPa, MPa, kg/cm²
  • Housing Material: Silicone case (IP65/IP68)
  • Wetted Materials: SS316
  • Dimensions: 35 mm diameter x 85 mm height x 4 mm depth

Configuration Options

The DPG108 features a high-resolution, back-lit LCD display that automatically records maximum pressure values during measurement. The unit includes an adjustable auto shut-off function ranging from 0 to 15 minutes.

  • User Interface: Short press On/Off button for power; long press to change engineering units.
  • Peak Pressure Reset: Short press "Zero" button.
  • Clear Display: Long press "Zero" button.

The device includes a password-protected setting menu (default 1000) accessible by pressing the On/Off and Zero buttons simultaneously. Menu options include lock, auto-off time (offt), back light time (blt), and exit settings (end).

Key Product Differences

The DPG108 series encompasses 22 enabled variants covering gauge pressure, absolute pressure, compound gauge, and vacuum ranges. Model numbers reflect specific range configurations such as -005G for low-range gauge or -V100G for vacuum applications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical calibration component I purchased a DPG-108-100G gauge early 2022 to use for calibrating pressure switches that I use with controls in my hobby greenhouse. I had to partially slice the silicone boot to access the battery compartment door. This is not a problem as I only use this indoors for calibrations. 0.25% accuracy is sufficient for my applications. My only wish is that I could change the decimal point from xxx.x to xx.xx when using the PSIG scale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Daily Use We use these daily for checking pressure on a gas distribution system. For the price they are hard to beat. As long as you don't abuse it or let moisture and dirt into the transducer it holds up well.

Is there any risk of damage when applying vacuum (<0.1 bar abs) to a unit designed to read gauge pressure?

Asked by: umcv
A small amount of vacuum in the range of -1 psi will not damage the unit, but higher vacuum pressure will affect the zero/span of the unit.

What is the resolution on the pressure readings?

Asked by: jodo
Depending on the range the unit should have a resolution of 0.01 PSI

For gauge pressure models, is the accuracy +/- 0.25% of the reading or +/- 0.25% of full scale? The PDF manual implies the former, while the website write-up indicates the latter. Which is correct?

Asked by: umcv
The accuracy rating of this gauge is % of full scale range.

I am looking for battery installation instructions for DPG108-100G unit that I purchased a few weeks ago.

Asked by: bimal
There is battery cover secured by a small screw on the back of the unit. You can't see it because there is a very tight fitting silicone rubber boot covering case of gauge. You'll have to pull it off to get to the battery compartment. Battery is a standard 9V alkaline battery.

Do these gauges come with a NIST traceable calibration certificate?

Asked by: dan27606
Thank you for contacting Omega Engineering. Sorry but the DPG108 series gauges do not come standard with a calibration certificate. You can request it at time of order for an extra charge and lead time. Please contact our sales department for part number, price and lead time. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any additional questions.
