Supported Applications

The Omega DPG8001 Series is a general-purpose digital pressure gauge designed for industrial liquids and gaseous media. The series features all stainless steel wetted parts, making it suitable for a wide variety of process fluids. It supports vacuum, compound (vacuum to positive), and gauge pressure measurements across ranges from 30 inHg Vacuum up to 25,000 psi.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DPG8001 offers an accuracy of 0.25% full scale terminal point for most models; specific compound and low-range models (30V15 and 30V30) provide 0.5% full scale terminal point accuracy. The display update rate is 1 Hz, with resolution varying as a 4 or 5-digit readout based on the selected range.

Operating conditions are defined by an ambient temperature of -20 to 60°C (-4 to 140°F) and a process temperature of -20 to 80°C (-4 to 176°F). The unit is housed in Polycarbonate/ABS with a NEMA 4X (IP67) enclosure rating. Mechanical robustness includes shock resistance per MIL-STD-202G Method 213 B and vibration resistance per MIL-STD-202G Method 201A.

Pressure limits are tiered by range: Proof pressure is 200% of range for Vac to <300 psi, 150% for 300 to <5000 psi, and 120% for 5000 to 25,000 psi. Burst pressure ratings are 800% of range (Vac to <300 psi), 500% (300 to <5000 psi), and 300% (5000 to 25,000 psi).

Configuration Options

The series is configurable across a broad envelope of pressure ranges and connection types. Key capabilities include:

 • Measurement Ranges: Vacuum (30 inHg to 0), Compound (e.g., 30V15, 30V30 up to 30V300), and Gauge Pressure from 0 to 25,000 psi.
 • Process Connections: Standard models feature a ¼ NPT male connection in the lower position for ranges up to 10,000 psi. Models rated at >10,000 psi (specifically 15K, 20K, and 25K) are supplied with a female AMINCO fitting (⅜-18 UNF).
 • Display & Features: The gauge includes user-selectable engineering units, a tare function, MIN/MAX memory, a 20-segment bar graph, and backlighting.
 • Housing Dimensions: Overall diameter is 69.36 mm (2.73 in) with an overall length of 67.6 mm (2.66 in). The base measures 40.9 mm (1.61 in) in diameter.
 • Power: Operates on two "AA" alkaline batteries, which are included.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the DPG8001 series differ primarily by pressure range and connection hardware. Model numbers follow a pattern indicating the specific span (e.g., DPG8001-15 for 0 to 15 psi, DPG8001-VAC for vacuum only). High-pressure models designated with suffixes such as -15K, -20K, and -25K utilize the female AMINCO fitting rather than the standard NPT connection. Compound gauge variants (e.g., 30V60) cover both negative pressure down to 30 inHg and positive pressure up to their rated limit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Gauge. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a calibration certification. I would think for a gauge of this level and price that would be included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Digital compound gauge Got the compound gauge. My tech reports that the gauge fits the bill, but unlike an analog gauge it has to be manually changed from Vac. to PSI in the menu features. Makes a quick test just a touch longer with more steps. Other than that it's good.

What happens if you go above the max pressure? Are the readings no longer reliable?

Asked by: Engineer91
The full data sheet indicates the the Proof Press rating for the DPG8001 gauges. The DPG8001-10K unit can be safely overpressured to 120% of it's rated range without damage. This however does not means you should routinely overpressure the unit. This would eventually cause a positive offset in the reading.

DPG8001-5k will not display kpA....I have video to prove it....! (Using page 9 of instruction manual)

Asked by: Bob53
Thank you for the inquire The unit in question has the range of 0-5000 PS I, with a 5-digit display. All conversions with our DPG8001 are based on the full-scale capacity of the unit. If you convert this unit to KPA the conversion would exceed the units 5-digit capability.

what is the maximum range down>

Asked by: techsteve
Hello I am assuming you are talking about turn down ratio or rangeability, this model is a simple steady static gage that does not have any range down. If you want a rangeable unit please see PX3005

we bought Omega Pressure Gauge -DPG8001-200 Omega Vacuum Gauge -DPG8001-VAC we need calibration certificate for these product ,do u provide?

Asked by: Surya
Unless you specified NIST certification at the the time you purchased the gauges the data acquired during production calibration of the units was not retained so we cannot provide it. You would need to return the gauges to us through our customer service to have them NIST certified or have them calibrated by an independent calibration house.

Where do I add the suffix NIST in order to get the calibration cert?

Asked by: Rquintanilla
After the base part number you would add "-NIST". EX: DPG8001-100 would become DPG8001-100-NIST. Additional cost would be $218.00 added to base price.

Does it come with a cal cert? If not, what are the options? How can I get one?

Asked by: Akram
Thank you for your inquiry. The standard unit doesn't come with a certificate you can get it with a certificate as long as you add the suffix -NIST Hope this was helpful
