Supported Applications
The Omega DPG280 series consists of advanced digital pressure gauges designed for measuring gauge pressure and negative gauge pressure. These units are engineered to monitor gasses and liquids that are non-corrosive and compatible with 304 stainless steel wetted materials.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DPG280 series operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C-70°C, with a compensation temperature range of 0-60°C. Accuracy is specified as ±0.4%FS or ±0.2%FS depending on the configuration, and long-term stability is rated at 0.25 %Fs/year.
Overload capacity varies by pressure rating: ranges below 40Mpa support Range*150%, while ranges above 40Mpa support Range*120%. The series features a 4-digit LCD screen with a bright white backlight and includes visual indicators for battery level, communication status, and percentage of full-scale pressure usage.
Key Performance Specifications
- Measurement Type: Gauge pressure, Negative gauge pressure
- Data Logging Capacity: Up to 10,000 points stored in EEPROM
- Sampling Rate: Adjustable from three times per second to three times every hour
- Power Supply: 3V (2 AAA batteries)
- Electromagnetic Compatibility: Anti-EMI Design, EN61326
Configuration Options
The DPG280 series offers configurable pressure units including kPa, PSI, kg/cm², Bar, MPa, mmHg, and Torr. Units feature a zero clearing function accessible via the keypad (press for 4 seconds) and include peak value tracking.
Physical Construction & Connections
- Housing Material: 304 Stainless Steel shell with 304SS connection material
- Process Connection: 1/4-18NPT Male
- Dimensions: 46 mm width, 125 mm height, and 80 mm depth
- Data Interface: USB output with included software for data retrieval; a special USB-line is provided in the package box.
User Interface & Display Features
- LCD display shows pressure units, MAX/MIN values, battery level (0% to 100%), and communication signs.
- Error codes displayed include E-E for abnormal sensor communication or damage, E-H for current pressure over range use or sensor damage, and P-C/r-03 for calibration procedures.
- Buttons control Power, Unit switching, Backlight (short press to toggle; long press to keep on), and Zero clearing.
Key Product Differences
The series is available in multiple pressure ranges indicated by model suffixes such as -005G, -1.0KG, -300A, and others, covering various measurement spans referenced to a selection table not included in the primary documentation.
Specific variants include models with different range codes (e.g., DPG280-005CG vs. DPG280-V015G) which correspond to specific pressure limits and unit configurations. The series is noted as a recommended alternative to the DPG4000 Series.
Installation notes specify that units should be installed without power, using a suitable wrench for the threaded connection, followed by zero clearing after installation. Battery replacement requires removing four screws and prying off the lid at designated slots; force must not be applied to the keypad area during reassembly.

Needs real time software to be worth the price.
Wouldn't buy again knowing what I know now. For the price, this should come with real time software so you can view the data while you're testing. I'd purchased Omega pressure transducers before that had nice real time software that came with them. My fault for thinking this would have the same! I'm going to be running two of these at the same time and will have to splice the data back together since these will have to be downloaded later individually. Very disappointing!

DPG280
I bought the DPG280 on 08/21/2025 (HC06201108), for troubleshooting an industrial air compressor. The instrument work great as a pressure gauge, but my priority needs of the instrument is the data acquisition. When I download the data, the readings registered, aren't the correct. I write to dwyer omega for support, after two tickets (02876514, 02893782), I don’t receive any solution to the problem. I have been customer since 2021, and other instruments have been working according to the specifications. But not with this DPG280, just lost valuable time in the field.

Pressure logger with poor connectivity.
As a pressure gauge, this product works really well. But the datalogging and connectivity functionality is lackluster. Connectivity must be done over a USB cable, and cannot log in real time. The software also does not connect to the logger (in my case) rendering the sensor a paperweight. Omega support did not assist at all for this issue, so I cannot recommend this logger.

Hello. I want to know if at the moment of buying this product it comes with a calibration certification so there is accurate reading of the screen
Hello, this gauge will not ship with cal cert. We cannot calibrate this compound gauge in both directions, you will have to send this to an external cal lab.

how many units includes this device? im intrested in Hg in
Hello, this unit can read in Psi, MPa and KPa. We do not have a logger that will read in in-hg. If you can work with a simple digital pressure gauge that does read-only please see: DPG2001B-15VAC

How many volts does it output? (example: 1-5v or 1-10v etc.)
Hello, this gauge does not have analog outputs/ retransmission capabilities. If you need an analog output I suggest looking at our new DPG509 series

is "DPG280-100A" have 5 digits on Display? I want to result xx.xxx psi (range: vacuum to 100 Psi). Can do it?
Thank you for your inquiry, due to the full range of the unit (100 PSI) the unit can only read two places past the decimal.
