Supported Applications

The Omega Series PXM-COIL Pressure Sensor Cooling Coil is designed to extend the working temperature range of pressure sensors by reducing media temperature before it contacts the sensing element. The series serves as a temperature isolation coil for G¼ and ¼ in BSPP, as well as ¼ NPT pressure sensor installations.

Documented applications include:

• Gases or steam up to 200°C
• Liquids up to 150°C
• Processes requiring chemical compatibility with many fluids and gases via stainless steel SS316 wetted materials

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series PXM-COIL operates under pressure ranges up to 400 Bar. Temperature limits are defined by media type: gas or steam applications support temperatures up to 200°C, while liquid applications support temperatures up to 150°C.

Key performance parameters include:

• Housing and Wetted Material: Stainless steel SS316
• Overall Length: ≈92 mm
• Mechanical Features: Hex size 27A/F at both ends; diagram indicates 1/4" BSP thread at bottom with additional dimensions of 12 mm and 14 mm shown.

Configuration Options

The series offers specific configurations to match process connection standards. The documented part numbers define the available variants:

• PXM-COIL: Cooling coil for G¼ & ¼ in BSPP pressure sensors.
• PX-COIL: Cooling coil for ¼ NPT pressure sensors, featuring a ¼ NPT female connection for the pressure sensor and a ¼ NPT male connection for the process.

The series supports an accessory option:

• PXMW-4: Stainless steel/Nitrile bonded seal washer, ¼ in.
