Supported Applications

The Weiss 24DT Series is an NSF Listed Remote LED Digital Thermometer designed for temperature monitoring in commercial refrigeration and food service environments. The series displays current, maximum, and minimum temperatures experienced by the sensor. Specific configurations include a combined digital thermometer and light switch package (model type L) intended to allow operators to control walk-in lighting with full hands via a waterproof 'elbow' engaged illuminated switch.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The 24DT Series operates across two measurement ranges: -40/230°F and -40/110°C. The device provides an accuracy of ±1°. Power supply options include 12V AC/DC, 110V AC, and 230V AC. Electrical connections utilize fast-on type spade terminals with probe connections separated from the power supply connections to ensure safety.

Display update intervals are configurable at 1-second, 1-minute, or 3-minutes to eliminate display fluctuations caused by repeated door opening in walk-in environments. The instrument logs maximum and minimum temperatures; these values can be displayed using an optional momentary switch (sold separately) which also allows for resetting the min/max memory.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable mounting, power, range, update time, and sensor length options. Key capabilities include:

• Housing Types: Thermometer only (Type 0), Switch plate with lighted switch (Type L), or standard switch plate configurations.
• Sensor Options: Detachable sensors are available in a standard 5-foot length, with longer lengths offered. The probe is double insulated for safety on models powered by 12V, 110V, and 230V supplies.
• Battery Backup: An optional 9-volt battery harness (bracket sold separately) provides backup power to maintain temperature readings during blackouts.
• Environmental Protection: An optional gasket is available for outdoor use. The light switch variant features a waterproof 'elbow' engaged illuminated design rated at 15A.

The device carries UL and NSF listings, with cRUus certification noted for the 120Vac power supply configuration in supporting documentation.
