Supported Applications

The Omega WT-3100 is an open loop benchtop wind tunnel designed for the thermal characterization of components, boards, and heat sinks. The unit features a unique polynomial shape nozzle engineered to create uniform flow within the test section.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The system produces airflow up to 2000 ft/min (10 m/s) using appropriate fans; higher speeds can be achieved by selecting different fan configurations. The open loop design includes a wall-to-wall spacing of 3.00" (7.6 cm), which is available as custom designed for specific applications.

Electrical operation requires a power supply of 24 volt-DC, with the constraint that voltage to the fans cannot exceed 26 Volts-DC. The unit weighs 130 lbs. (60 Kg.).

Configuration Options

The WT-3100 construction utilizes Aluminum, stainless steel, and Plexi-glass™ materials for the housing structure.
