Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series EWDP is a wireless communicating adjustable differential pressure switch designed to monitor pressure, vacuum, and differential pressures. The series utilizes EnOcean® wireless technology for status transmission in HVAC applications, specifically supporting temporary installations or retrofits of existing buildings.
- Service: Air and non-combustible, compatible gases
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series EWDP operates within a process and ambient temperature range of 14 to 158°F (-10 to 70°C), with storage limits from -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C). The device is rated for pressures up to 40 in w.c. (10 kPa) and features an enclosure rating of NEMA 3 (IP54).
- Measurement Range: Available settings from 0.08 in w.c. (20 Pa) up to 20 in w.c. (5000 Pa)
- Mounting Orientation: Vertically, with pressure connections pointing downwards
Model-Specific Deadband Values
The series offers specific set point ranges and approximate deadbands depending on the model configuration:
- EWDP-08-2-L-N (902 MHz): 0.08 to 1.20 in w.c. (20 to 300 Pa); Deadband approx. 0.04 (10) at min set point, 0.05 (12) at max
- EWDP-04-2-L-N (902 MHz): 0.12 to 1.60 in w.c. (30 to 400 Pa); Deadband approx. 0.06 (15) at min set point, 0.09 (22) at max
- EWDP-03-2-L-N (902 MHz): 0.20 to 2.00 in w.c. (50 to 500 Pa); Deadband approx. 0.08 (20) at min set point, 0.09 (23) at max
- EWDP-07-2-L-N (902 MHz): 4.00 to 20.00 in w.c. (1000 to 5000 Pa); Deadband approx. 1.0 (250) at min set point, 1.4 (350) at max
- EWDP-03-2-L-E (868 MHz): 0.20 to 2.00 in w.c. (50 to 500 Pa); Deadband approx. 0.08 (20) at min set point, 0.09 (23) at max
Configuration Options
The Series EWDP is configurable across several dimensions including frequency bands, pressure ranges, and accessory options.
Sensor Elements & Materials
- Diaphragm material: Silicone
- Housing material: POM
- Switch body: PA 6.6
- Cover: Polystyrene
Process Connections & Mounting
The device accepts process connections for 5/16" (7.94 mm) outside diameter tubing and 1/4" (6.0 mm) inside diameter tubing. Optional mounting hardware includes L-shaped A-288 and S-shaped A-289 metal brackets, ordered separately.
Wireless Output & Power

- Power Supply: One (1) 3 V CR2032 lithium metal battery (user replaceable, included)
Accessories & Receivers
The series supports various accessories to facilitate installation and measurement:
- A-480: Plastic static pressure tip
- A-481: Installer kit including 2 plastic static pressure tips and 7' (2.1 m) of PVC tubing
- A-489: 4" straight static pressure tip with flange
- USB-300: USB wireless receiver, 868 MHz
- USB-300U: USB wireless receiver, 902 MHz
Key Product Differences
The Series EWDP is distinguished by its set point range and radio frequency. Models are identified by a suffix indicating the frequency band (e.g., -N for 902 MHz, -E for 868 MHz) and specific numeric codes corresponding to pressure ranges.
- Set Point Ranges: The series covers four primary differential pressure spans from low range (0.08 in w.c.) to high range (4.00 to 20.00 in w.c.).
- Installer Kit Configuration: Models including an installer kit are designated by adding -C to the end of the model number.
Note: The Series EWDP is not field serviceable; repair requires returning the unit. Horizontal mounting results in readings approximately 0.08 in w.c. higher than indicated, and upward-facing pressure inlets will render the device inaccurate.
