The Omega FL-10 Series consists of variable area flow meters designed for liquid flow measurement. The series is engineered with chemically inert wetted components, making it suitable for high-purity applications and corrosive liquids.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Performance specifications are defined by the specific model range selected:

  • Accuracy: ±5% of full scale
  • Scales: 0 to 10 markings
  • Maximum Temperature: 121°C (250°F)
  • Maximum Pressure: 6.7 bar (100 psig)
  • Leak Integrity: Individually leak tested and certified to a rating of 1 x 10-7 sccs of Helium

The series covers two primary flow envelopes: Low Flow models range from 125 mL/min to 5000 mL/min, while High Flow models cover 13 L/min to 45 L/min.

Configuration Options

The FL-10 Series is available in configurations with or without a standard valve for flow monitoring or control. Model numbers follow the pattern FL-10X-V (with valve) and FL-10X (no valve), where X denotes the specific range.

  • High Flow Models: 267 L x 51 mm OD (10½ x 2")

Options & Accessories

The following options are available by adding suffixes to the model number for additional cost:

  • Oxygen Cleaning: Add “-02CLEAN”
  • NIST Calibration: Add “-NIST”

The series includes an operator's manual and features a removable protective shield. Units are factory-sealed in polyethylene bags to prevent contamination.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the FL-10 Series differ primarily by maximum flow capacity, connection size, and overall dimensions. Models with valve suffixes (e.g., -V) include a built-in needle valve at the outlet for control applications, while non-valve models are intended for monitoring only.

  • Low Flow Range: Models FL-10A through FL-10J cover 125 mL/min to 5000 mL/max with ¼ or ⅜ FNPT connections.
  • High Flow Range: Models FL-10K through FL-10P cover 13 L/min to 45 L/min with ½ or ¾ FNPT connections.
