Supported Applications
The Omega UWRH Series consists of wireless temperature and humidity transmitters designed for dry, moisture-free indoor applications. These stand-alone devices monitor relative humidity and ambient temperature in permanent installations only; they are not intended for use as portable units.
Explicitly excluded environments include medical or nuclear facilities, as well as flammable or explosive atmospheres. The series is engineered to transmit sensor data wirelessly to a host receiver located up to 90 m (300') away.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The UWRH Series measures relative humidity from 0 to 100% RH and ambient temperature from -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F). Accuracy specifications are ±3% RH for relative humidity and ±1.5°C (±2.7°F) for ambient temperature.
Devices operate within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) and can be stored between -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F). Power is supplied by a included 3.6V Lithium Battery.
Communication occurs via Wireless RF Transmission at 2.4 GHz, sending relative humidity, ambient temperature, RF signal strength, and battery condition data. Installation requires maintaining a minimum distance of 20 cm from other radio transmitters or persons to prevent interference.
Configuration Options
- UWRH-2: Standard wireless humidity/temperature transmitter housed in plastic.
- UWRH-2-NEMA: Wireless humidity/temperature transmitter featuring a NEMA-rated enclosure for enhanced protection. This model is not CE compliant, whereas the UWRH-2 is CE compliant.
Regulatory and Safety Compliance
- FCC: Part 15 (ID: OUR-XBEEPRO before 2025; MCQ-S2CTH after 2025).
- IC: #4214A-EXBEEPRO (before 2025); #1846A-S2CTH (after 2025).
Installation Constraints
- No co-location with other radio transmitters within 20 cm.
- Must be installed in a permanent setup; not for portable use.
- Do not operate in flammable or explosive environments.
- Designed exclusively for dry, moisture-free indoor applications.
Key Product Differences
The UWRH series of wireless temperature and humidity transmitters is offered in two models, differentiated by connectivity and enclosure:
- UWRH-2-NEMA — NEMA-enclosure wireless temperature/humidity transmitter.
- UWRH-2A-NEMA-M12 — NEMA-enclosure variant with an M12 connector interface.
Both models share the UWRH-2 wireless transmitter platform; select the variant that matches the required enclosure and connection.

Work reliably
We have about 10 of these installed at our factory that have been running reliably for the better part of a year. We use the Ethernet bridge (UWTC-REC3) and sample once a minute (1440/day) per sensor. We use the telnet interface because we have many other data-streams that log to our corporate database. I didn't give 5 stars because TC Central and the web interface were a bit tricky to get setup and an API would have saved a lot of time. I checked the batteries after about 8 months and they were still above the rated voltage so I have some confidence that they will run for well over a year.
