Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series UDL Universal Data Loggers are designed for multi-parameter data acquisition, featuring configurable universal inputs that accept thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, voltage, current, or slidewire signals. Each unit includes an internal temperature sensor and a digital input configured as either a trigger to start logging or a pulse counter for interfacing with flow meters and other sensors providing pulse outputs.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series UDL operates within an ambient temperature range of -22 to 158°F (-30 to 70°C). Internal humidity measurement covers 0 to 100% RH. Accuracy specifications vary by sensor type and input configuration:

• Internal Temperature: ±1°F (±0.5°C)
• External Temperature: ±1°F (±0.5°C) over 30 to 122°F (0 to 50°C); ±2°F (±1°C) over -30 to 32°F (-30 to 0°C) and 122 to 158°F (50 to 70°C)
• Internal/External RH: ±2.0% RH over 10% to 90%; ±4.0% RH over 0 to 10% and 90 to 100% RH

Universal input resolution is 16 Bit, while internal and external temperature sensors provide 12 Bit resolution and humidity sensors offer 8 Bit resolution. Memory capacity supports up to 62,000 readings for models with 0 or 2 universal inputs, and 128,000 readings for models with 4 universal inputs.

Configuration Options

The series is available in configurations with 0, 2, or 4 customizable universal inputs. Each input can be individually configured to accept specific sensor types including RTD (PH100 EN60751, PH100 JISC, Ni100, Ni120, Cu10, Cu100), Thermocouples (J, K, T, R, S, B, N), thermistors (TH-001, TH-002, TH-003), current (4 to 20 mA), voltage (-100 mVDC to +1 VDC or 0 to 10 VDC), and slidewire (100 ohms to 10 kilo-ohms).

Optional features include an internal humidity sensor, an LCD display for local viewing, and support for external humidity and temperature sensors. The unit interfaces via a USB port with the included cable and software.

• RTD: -328 to 1292°F (-200 to 700°C) for PH100 EN60751; ranges vary by element type.
• Thermocouple J, K, T: -328 to 2498°F (-200 to 1370°C)

Key Product Differences

The Series UDL model codes distinguish between input count, sensor inclusion, and display availability. Models follow the pattern UDL-, where variations include:

• Input Count: 0 inputs (e.g., UDL-000), 2 universal inputs (e.g., UDL-002, UDL-102), or 4 universal inputs (e.g., UDL-004, UDL-104).
• Sensor Configuration: Internal temperature only; internal temperature and RH sensor.
• Display Option: Models with an LCD display are designated by the second digit '1' (e.g., UDL-100, UDL-114), while models without a display use '0' in that position (e.g., UDL-000, UDL-014).

Software options include DL500-LITE for Windows® operating systems and the full version key. Accessories such as the UDL-RH remote humidity probe and UDL-PS power supply are available.
