Supported Applications
The Omega LTU-2000 Series consists of threaded, flanged, and Tri-Grip tuning fork point level switches designed for high/low liquid level detection. These units utilize vibrating tuning fork technology to detect contact with a medium, remaining unaffected by variations in density, conductivity, dielectric constant, or viscosity. The series is engineered to operate reliably in environments subject to foam, tank agitation, or vibration.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The LTU-2000 Series operates within a process pressure rating of 50 bar (725 psi). Ambient operating temperatures range from -10 to 80°C (14 to 176°F) for standard models and up to -10 to 120°C (14 to 248°F) for high-temperature configurations. The switches support media with viscosities between 0.5 to 5000 cSt.
Performance specifications include an accuracy of ±0.1% and repeatability of ±0.5 mm, with a hysteresis of 1 mm. Standard insertion length is 80 mm (3.15"), measured from the bottom of the hex to the tip of the fork.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable options across output types, power supplies, enclosures, and process connections to accommodate diverse installation requirements.
- Output Signals: PNP (3-wire), NPN (3-wire), or SPDT relay rated at 5 A @ 250 Vac.
- Power Supply: Models support 20 to 60 Vdc, 20 to 264 Vac, or 85 to 264 Vac depending on the specific model family (LTUP, LTUR, LTUM1, LTUM2).
- Enclosures: Available in glass-filled nylon with a cable gland entry; aluminum die-cast with either a ½ NPT conduit or cable gland entry; and 316 SS DIN 43650 plug (LTUM models only). Enclosure ratings include NEMA 4 (IP65) for standard units and NEMA 6 (IP67) for LTUM miniature versions.
- Process Connections: Threaded options include ¾, 1, 1½, and 2" NPT or BSP. Sanitary connections feature 1.5", 2", 2½", and 3" Tri-Grip™ (Tri-Clamp® compatible). Flange connections are available in 1" FF, 1½" FF, 2" RF, and 2½" RF.
- Wetted Materials: Standard construction is 316 SS. An ECTFE/ETFE coating option (code "1") is available for sanitary applications; flange connections are recommended when using this coating.
- Time Delay: Adjustable time delay options of 1, 5, 10, or 20 seconds are offered on LTUP and LTUR models. LTUM1 and LTUM2 models feature a fixed 1-second delay.
Key Product Differences
The series is divided into distinct model families based on output type, power requirements, and enclosure style:
- LTUP Series: Features PNP (3-wire) output with 20 to 60 Vdc power. Enclosures are glass-filled nylon.
- LTUR Series: Provides SPDT relay output (5 A @ 250 Vac). Power options include 20 to 60 Vdc or 20 to 264 Vac. Available with glass-filled nylon or aluminum die-cast enclosures.
- LTUM1 Series: Designed for PNP output with a miniature DIN 43650 plug and 316 SS enclosure (NEMA 6/IP67). Operates on 20 to 60 Vdc. Note: Model LTUM1-2014 has been replaced by the LTUM1-3014 series.
- LTUM2 Series: Features NPN (3-wire) output with a miniature DIN 43650 plug and 316 SS enclosure. Power supply is 85 to 264 Vac.
Custom configurations allow selection of wetted material, process connection type, enclosure style, and insertion length up to a maximum rod length of 1.5 m (60").

I am looking for a vibration fork level sensor, explosion proof, 24vdc power supply, the probe length should be within 29.50" to 30.00"
